so... if ya'll didnt know, i am 21 years old, and a comptuer tech for washoe county in Nevada.

and now i am buying my own place!!! im so happy!!

there is this really nice condo in a nice part of town where i live. They are asking 167,500 for it. yesterday i made an offer of 163,000 and the seller to pay all the closing costs.

im soooo excited, there arent very many 21 year olds that are already BUYING their own place. on their own.

anyway, i am just excited, felt like tellin ya'll. i'll let you know if they accept my offer

It's a loan. If you have a decent, stable job and good credits, you can get a loan from the bank, enough to buy your own place. Usually when people buy a house they pay 10%-20% up front, the rest is from the loan.

So it means you can't pay it "on the fly" I guess? Well, I might be alone with that mindset, and maybe ppl in the US think different about it, but I'd never ever under any circumstances buy things on loan (credit?!, dunno if that is the word in english as well) and have to pay and pay for the next 10 years or more if I could ... just live like I did before.

But oh well, I have an own flat as well, for rent of course.

Will you live there alone or with a GF / mates? Just wondering.
