right because playing the game how its "meant" to be played is gonna make it die...

also calling someone a bot isn't recreational in ANY way and i certainly don't look forwards to killing bots i just want them gone

I wholeheartedly agree that botting is destroying the game. I think a good solution would be a timed captcha test upon entering or teleporting into towns. When the bots re-up their pots and fix their equipment, they'll have to enter a code within a certain period of time. If the time expires, they are temp banned from the server for some period of time (say a few hours or so).

They could ban by hardware id

Well, they can try to ban by hardware ID. Most hardware IDs for game anti-cheat systems are generated from easily changeable or spoofed items such as hard drive serial number, MAC address, optical drive firmware revision, etc.

This is why systems such as Punkbuster are a failure - I've seen people banned with a global hardware ban on the day of a PB update be back on the servers in less than an hour.

its also not free to the people that make it. We are just trying to help them realize that they need to fix the problem ASAP. Otherwise they wont have a game anymore.

Yes...and there is the rub...I think Joymax are treading the fine line to maximise profit....say the right things..do nothing.

Joymax could simply reboot the servers once in a while at random times, that would soon control afk ers and Botters, you might upset a few stallholders and players for a while but I bet most would prefer that option in the long run...

they are going to care soon, cause the only people that play are actual botters. Once everyone is gone and only botters left. No more jobbing or anything. People will jsut be the lvl cap and thats it. There wont be any point to keep going. And its cheating. so, they still need to ban them and care were it comes from. Cause we take the time and money to actually play and get disconeected and never able to get on when we spent money on rabits and stuff.

Why do you think we dont get any updates or bots banned. The GMs spend all day trying to log into the servers. When they finally do log in they find 10 bots and get ?????? error and thats why the bot lists are so crap.

I think most botters are kids that cant even afford buying silk.

And if they buy silk, they need maybe 2 or 3 at max 4-week GTs to hit lvl 80... I just finished my 6th GT and I'm still not 80 ^^ See the difference?

So what else need botters to buy silk for? Squirrels? I rarely see bots using pets for collecting their stuff.

How about Astral and Immortal? It's basically CCFed.

Regarding it on a long term, legit players bring more profit imo.

what i do if i see a person bot...that is all the time lol
i go to somewhere else so they wont botter me.
and spawn a protector bot dies.
attack it if it attacks back run till ur name is green go back let it kill u.
he will pk and disconnect.
simple things like that just figure it out
