But someone...am to lazy to quote it or find who said it did hit the nail
on the head so to speak.
The problem is because this Forum has become now know as the best Silkroad
forum currently on the internet a lot of people from Tavern and SRO.net
have come here, both sites which should be noted as having a high lvl
of retared spammers.
(any one who remembers how much they used to spam and flame me
for no reason, and with such stupidity). I mean its like stall said, mods
cant and dont have the power to ban people. At best they can only delete
their post.
Then when these morons come here here from the above mentioned
websites...they flame and spam, just like that person did the other
day with 20 posts about stall, and why did he do it you ask? well because
on the offical forum theres no moderation at all so he feels that if he
can do it on the offical forum then he can do it here, likewise the same
about SRT.

Also when these people come here please dont reply to their flame/spam
threads with even more flaming and spamming, because most of them
are in such an angry state of denial that they belive that your on there
side, even when we all know that their little children dispite the lies
of being 40 years old and having a family. Just ignore the spam and flames
and within time the morons will hopefully get board and go away. if we
dont incourage in then it wont happen

well im not gonna totally badmouth the community, yes there is a lot of spam and such going on. Does it bother me? no not really. I generally look at the name of the poster, and then decide if im gonna read anything. Mods are doing quite the job these days cleaning and locking threads withing the smallest amount of time possible, it'll work out.

Yes the forum used to be better, but it's still hella good. It still keeps me coming back every day to read stuff, I might not be playing SRO at the moment, but it keeps me coming back. Im kinda sticking to the OT now, which still has some interesting topics going on.

Before this forum, i never made more then 2 or 3 posts on a forum, now look at my count, its at 1400+. Which to me indicates that it's still a nice community to hang around in for me.

+1, lets take are machettes and start tracking these spammers down, go to their house and slash them , this wont work, just like an ecomomy, Silkroad Forums has become a huge forum for silkroad and non silkroad players...mostly WOW >_>, so now since the SilkRoad forums economy has increased, your gonna start to get people on all the other forums who play silkroad, the people banned from their old forums, the people who didnt like the numbers of people on in there old forums, and people who like the design of this forum soo much, so now everyone is starting to migrate to this forum.

all the losers, and some of the mature people.

Remember the basic rule of the....forums...yeah I made it up, and that is if you are gonna get popular, then that means everyone wants to hop on the forum train, and all the time when that happens, you will always get the wrong crowd of people hopping on with you.

So if you want to get rid of them, the only way to do this is to get more mods and enforce higher rules to civilize these people, or get more mods to ban these people, or just to straight up make a horrible design for Silkroad.

, plus, I believe maturity doesn't go attaching themselves with age, I believe that a 15 years old can be mature and not be a immature spammer, for example me.

p.s: like for instance, the example for being a forum spammer is Theoneman, he has been making 20 topics for 1 day and has a topic named "is it just me or..." right beside this one -_-

Just a couple comments.

These forums have grown huge. Its popular so alot of people come here. With the good you get the bad. When I joined way back when there weren't alot of active users here, those that were were usually helpful. There were still rivlaries and flames even then but the game was smaller. It was easier to deal with as there were fewer people.

Also, most of the 'veteran' members have lost the excitement over being able to answer every question, no matter how trifiling. Instead of answering something that they themselves asked months ago they now give a smart ass answer or ignore the question. This applies to everyone. We brush it off as a stupid or noob question.

Ask yourself have you ever gotten a warning? Have you had your thread locked or deleted? Have you been the cause of a thread being locked or deleted? Several of the posters in this thread have.

Ask yourself why you came here to begin with.

Did you get help here? Have you helped people here or are you just killing time?
