Hey guys yes this is another Hybrid discussion.

what are the advantages and disadvantages of being a hybrid s/s over a hybrid spear.

Right now I'm a hybrid s/s going for 40 max str points which would make me a 85% mag nuker. I was thinking of going s/s and spear, but i would have to knock off my ice and ideas on the perfect hybrid build for cap and also which build would i benefit the most off of at 90 cap.

I added 40 str, I am s/s, I have a spear though, was thinking of dual wep, but I"m not sure.

Me and you we are stuck like glue hahaha, so yea man I see lots videos on you tube of these crazy dual builds with spear and s/s looks so cool, but I would think that ice would be a really important part of a nuker, but then again we are hybrids so we could tank just fine, but I would like to see someone post that has some good experience in this area, btw what level are you right now and what server do you play on?

40 str is too much for s/s hybrid, iv a friend that has 86% nuked mag lv 80, its just like a blader in pvp, if not worst, if you dont have sosun weap of sword 72+7-9 atleast, you wont kill anyone !!!!!!!!!!
he has sword 72+5 and he cant kill any pure str nor hybrid, sometimes pure int

heavy hybrid > spear
light hybrid > sword

iv a lv 71 hybrid spear, i would say 88% is the perfect balance for a spear

i dun like hybrids. Hmm when i am on my pure int sword i love hybrids. I hunt them down and kill them first. Not because they are a threat but because they are fastest kill and get them out of the way. Hybrids do pretty well against str chars but hybrid nuker is not going to nuke a pure int to death. Esp if the pure is in garment. Then the pure int just laughs at you. You better be strong enough to physicallly kill him fast cause if not you will die in prolly 2 shots or one if you are in armor.

when i was 52 on my hybrid spear, pure int dont hold more than one skill for me, pure str got two skills

just one thing about hybrids, if you cant afford insane blued gear, go for pure

I win against everyone around my level except 2 players:

ChipNDale Lv 54 Pure int insanely well farmed (Though has a 9 gap) with s/s and garments

cracker_666 a total bich lv 5x (not 7D yet) with insanely good garments (All at least +5, some sos/som (sosun headgear)) som+5 glaive with crit 12.

I kill nukers in 1 hit, every time (Except chip).

You guys are putting down builds you don't even know.
Although it's true, I hit alittle low (About the same as a str glaive sst, or gsp). But with nuke +kd +sd +sd I do 8k damage. If I add lion shout & gsp (petal) then I do 10.3k damage.

If I was to stick with my build right now, my ending plans (lv 80) are:

Fire 80
Bicheon 70
Light 70
Ice 60 (or 70)
Heuksal 20 (or 10)

wrong, some hybrids can kill pure Ints easily, unless your hunting people like 5 or more lvls lower than you.

I have a hybrid s/s for my main char that I am working right now. Its lvl 57 with 6 gap and I am farming. Let me tell you what I know.

I have tried dual weapon, and pvped a whole lots of people. Had my spear to lvl 43 mainly for stunn and knock back, was planning to go till 63 to get mars.
But after I pvped some it seems switching weapon is not comfortable during pvp. Switching to spear was easy, but switching to sword was not. Coz after you put on sword shield takes a little time gap before it will be equiped. Overall its not too efficient considering the cap 90 update is pretty close. And then you have to chose whether you keep the spear at 63 coz then you have to lower other skills.

Also if cap 90 comes with skill update then you better get 90 light, 90 fire, 90 sword = 270, coz they all will have updated skills. then you have 30 left for either spear or ice. But you can say you want 70 or 80 sword and rest for spear, then what about maxing you kd and stab; that will save your life as a hybrid.

So I decided not to go dual wepaon even tho they are kool. I am going for
90 fire 90 sword 70 light 50 ice for now ( 90 cap). If the 90 cap comes with skill update then I will delvl ice to 30 and take light to 90.

also at lvl 30 passive hp from spear is like 200+ something which is lame. but again lvl 30 gives about 18 physical def as well which is not good either, so its up to you.

For spear hybrid mag balance need 85% naked, s/s is good with 90% naked. I would go s/s coz shield and kd stab, spears has to depend on stunn mainly then mars. but with kd you can always stop any of their attack. Dont spam kd but use it ofent if you are s/s, and no chain in pvp.

Ahh..Think I have written enough...I am not lvl 80 myself, this is what I have seen so far till lvl 57, and yes you will depend on pimped gear more than any other build. But hybrids are good, fun coz they cant tank a little and also can nuke Good luck with yours..

Screw spear, I'm sticking with sword. Spear's gay.

Even though I'll (Supposedly) only have 85% mag balance naked at 80, I don't care, because I have good gear & stuff.

If I was any of your levels, I'd beat you in pvp. That's a 99% guarentee
