Do Lucky Powders only work with Elixers?

Hi Folks!

Sorry for the NOOB question but ...

Is it true that lucky powders only work with Elixers and not Stones?
I tried to use 1 with a stone and no slot on the right side opened up for it.

I heard they work with stones too but Im prolly wrong

no, only elixirs, when u are using stones the 2nd space doesn't open.
