Sosun armor compared to normal garment?

Hello there!

I was wondering if anyone here knows what kind of stats sosun armor D8 has, especially compared to normal garment. Say you were able to switch to armor (as a full str), you would have a huger phy defence power! But, how high will your magical defence be?

Armor's magical defence is way lower than garment, but we're talking about sosun armor now. Does anyone have that answer for me? It would be useless to switch to sosun armor if you'd still get blown away by an int then

Btw, sosun prot or garment isn't an option (not an entire set anyway) because of their high prices.

Well for what i seen, sun 8th degree armor(full set) is hella good vs pure str's but they still get nuke hella hard by INT, so not worth it, if you want a sun set get Garments... Garments FTW...

and also, definitely + all the gear too.

and... how can you afford full sosun set??? lol...

That's what I was afraid of. Maybe i'll just try to buy a few garment items then.

BTW embodiment, when is part 3 of your movie coming out? I really enjoyed the first 2 parts!

How I could afford a sun armor set? I got a lucky drop and sun armor isn't that expensive. Sure you'll be slower, but hey... über phy def.

But if it's true your magical defence will suck... nvm then.

Here's a comparison of my SoSun Garment, Armor, and Prot Chest. I had a complete set of all 3 but then my acct got hax0red

WAAAA as you can see garments are hella better lol Garments FTW, My sun legs 68 has more magic defense then the armor chest o_0.

Death2U, too bad you got hacked.

I do have to thank you alot for the pictures.

It seems sun armor has about the same magical defence as normal garment. So, as a pure str, you will rock against other str builds and have a normal defence against ints. But, you'll be 20% slower and use more mp.

Choices choices... I think buying a few garment items would be for the best then.

Not really... remember that physical and magical reinforcement on the gears also plays a HUGE role in calculating your PHY and MAG defense.

Hmm, so you think with the reinforcements included, the sun armor will have a higher magical defence than normal garment?

In that case, it might be cool to use the armor. So what i'll be 20% slower, i'll hardly die

I don't "think". I know. SoSun armor will have a significant more phy defense than garment (common sense) and slightly more magical defense than a normal 77 garment chest if you wear it (so the defense and reinforcement will come into play). I've done the experiment before. Let me try digging up some screenies.

Go for the sun armor in any case. Look, the glavier in this vid has 4 sun armor pieces and his survivability (against a nuker) is noteworthy.

Later found out he had sun neck too tho. But yeah did 10k to him max .. with +5 72 sword .. he hurted but never died.

+ I was in normal garms.. switch to prot now tho.

I also think they give mana reduction.

Nah... garment has much higher mag defense than armor if all else is equal. SoSun Armor has slightly higher more magical defense than normal last tier garment.

you forgot the 150% more chance for a sosun weapon drop.

8th sun armor is higher in mag def. than 3rd tier normal garm. I've got 1st tier chest and my magic def (at +4, 6%) is right under 200. Even with good %s the magic def for a 77 garm chest probably is less than the sun armor magic def. (guessing 215-230 range).
