Did any 1 think abt this ?

Post by truez »

Why do pets (Rabbits / Monkeys or Squirrels) have grab options only for
1. Gold
2. Equipments
3. Others

This makes me thing of JM helping bots... which makes botters to grab only gold & equipments :D

Can JM add more options for Grab ?? like .. only arrows / pots or somtin like tat....

Jus a thought :)
Cheers,

Nah, you turn the pet options on off for a while, then go to a place where there are people farming/botting/whatever who have pets.
You throw the unwanted junk on the floor and see how other people's rabbits/monkeys/squirrels pick em up. Turn the grab option to on again and continue farming or whatever you were doing.

i am glad those are the only 3 options

including the options you said just make it even easier for bots
now i can grind and drop the arrows from time to time takes about 1 min before the arrows disappear, this way i get more alchemy items and other items most bots don`t grab.

this was suggested a long time ago and if i remember it correctly it was denied (this was before the security updates) have not checked the official forums for a while they tend to be a flame fest and people asking the same stuff over and over again, here it gets deleted :D

Not if you have it set to only pick up your own items. (I used to do this when training near people who weren't picking up their arrows.)

What's even more annoying is when people like me, who don't have a pet (and don't buy silk) get our drops stolen by nearby pets who have it set to pick up EVERYTHING. Kind of hard to pick up drops that are under a large group of mobs or a giant because I can't even see them half the time.

I just think people should have their pets set to only pick up their own drops, not other people's

You can also press G, then your character picks it up w/o clicking on the item

i sympathise with you on that, i went 35 lvls before buying a squirrel, lost two SOS cos i didnt have one :x anyway, if they did change the options that would stop me from following the bots after ive filled up their own pet and picking up all their nice drops :p

Yeah I have autograb set to spacebar. That doesn't help when my drops are hidden by, say, a giant. There was one time I was fighting a giant. I could SEE an equipment drop, a lunar blade I believe. However I couldn't click it and I think my character was too far away because auto grab wouldn't work. No matter where I tried to click (even to run closer to it) I just ended up clicking the giant. Then someone came up on a horse and took the drop.

Now that I think about it, I guess I could have used the arrow keys to move, but I didn't think of that at the time.

I do feel bad for the legits that my pet nabs stuff from like the above poster said, but I always keep my monkey on all items full time. Made a fortune from bots throughout all my grinding.

I'd also love to see an arrow check, but it's merely an annoyance so I can live with it. I just wait till i'm full then move out of range from my grinding spot and drop them all (if there's no othe pets around to pawn them off on).

And if it makes you feel any better, pets fail sometimes too. I lost an SOS once cuz I didn't see it at first and monkey hit one of his "stupid" phases...he didn't pick the drops up from that monster..yet. I saw it right as a rabbit grabbed it. Anyone else have the stupid pet moments or is it just my StupidMonkey?
