It depends. I use garments because I'm a nuker so I use lots of mp pots and they save on pot consumption and make me faster.

So I say garms ftw, but that's just me.

What you wear depends on your build.

During PVPs.
Pure STR = garments
Pure INT = armor
Hybrid = protector

Grinding.
Pure STR = It doesn't matter
Pure INT = garments, saves MP consumption
Hybrid = protector

That's just my opinion ^^ I'm STR and I always wear garments no matter what XD

how about defence against physical damage?

Just so you know on most forums you do go to there is almost always a Search feature you can use to find out information. It saves us time from answering these over and over again but also you time so you don't have to type out and make a whole thread about. Hell you don't even have to make an account to do that

Also if you do have further questions you would most likely get better answers and peoples full attention if you post them in the Q&A section as the people that go there are either in the same boat as you or are much more willing to answer your questions.
