Farming SP at 16 - Bow or Glaive

Hi im poor and have just started. i have 9 level gap and am level16, and was wondering shud i carry on using my Glaive (best i can buy for lvl 16) or get (best i can buy bow for llv 16)

Only concern with bow is that i wont be able to pick up loot if i kill far away?

bow ^^ but dont farm is its your first char, or if you cant afford good stuff ^^
