What PK2 Editing Does
PK2 Editing is when u edit the file Media.pk2 in ur Silkroad folder. You can change what your armor/garment/protector looks like but not the stats.
you can change what certain skills look like, what your wolf looks like, etc.
Its fun but sometimes considered cheap. IMO, i dont think its cheap at all... Just for looks...
Also, i can now change 4th degree garm into all other degrees. Garm only. Cant change it to armor. Dont kno why... It keeps givin me that False shit.
ITS SOOO FIRGGEN ANNOYING

Well a trick that works for me is this:
Let's say you want to wear 7th deg Armor and still be wearing garms
You do this:
Find:
\clothes_04
Replace:
\heavy_07
Now, the size is different because "heavy" and "clothes" haven't the same lenght, so what i do is add a new one i.e. 9th deg
So BEFORE i do the first replacement, i "delete" the 7th deg Armor by replacing it with a 9th deg, but to keep it the same size, it suould be garm, so let's say:
Find:
\heavy_07
Replace:
\clothes_09
THEN do the garm04-armor07 thing, that way you would have the same size of the file.

Ok, i just understood a lil of that... So i just delete some of the armors, prots or garms? Like, replace some with some other degree?
Thats all i got...

LOL my english is not very good i suppose.
I'll try to make it clearer.
Imagine that you replace Garment 4th deg, with Armor 7th deg, now you will have 2 sets of clothes that look like Armor 7th deg, the original, and the edited garment. But the size is different from original. If you try to replace the 7th deg Armor using the "Replace all", you will replace the original Armor, AND the edited garment, which now is 7th deg armor.
In order to prevent this, you must "delete" the original 7th deg Armor, to do this, and to keep the size, you can replace it with a 9th deg which doesn't exist in game. Now you will replace "clothes" with "heavy" And the best way to keep the size is "heavy" with "clothes", so if you FIRST replace "\heavy_07" with "clothes_09" and then you replace "\clothes_04" with "heavy_07" you will keep the size and avoid a crash.

If you only want the 9th deg armor, for another Armor just replace "heavy_xx" with "heavy_09", if you want it to be garment, do the same trick i told you before, it should work too

It means that your source line, the one you type in "search" doesn't exist, and that's the reason it can't be replaced. So maybe you are typing something wrong... or you already replaced it. It's the only thing that comes to my mind atm.
Edit: Try "\blade_07" to "\blade_08" don't forget the backslashes, maybe that's the problem.

Yes i did the 9th degree and later i discovered this
Please do not edit the files on the Silkroad folder for the 9th degree effect. The patch may find you have a check sum error then ban you for 3rd party software used on your computer. Besides, tampering with the software may bring unrecoverable disasters.
soooo.....idk waht to do...have any of you gotten banned over this?...answer quick...

Well it's supposed to be a ban motive, but JM hasn't a way to detect if you modded your files... i don't think it's cheating because doing this won't give ou an unfair advantage over other players, it's just for your own enjoy.
And answering your second post, this is ONLY for looks, as i said before, this is not a bot and will not give you unfair advantages over other users.

Instead of replacing .ddj and .bsr, just go like
\sword_8 - Find
\sword_2 - Replace with
Click replace all. Quite simple...
Should make it easier for everyone
it worked fine for me...
