Hey guys i need some help with the wolf mod. I tried making it roc and yarkan but it crashes when i load my wolf. Im not sure whats wrong. The file size is the same as the original. Also, i got isy, Kerebos and another monster called rocky to work so I dont understand why roc and yarkan dont work. Im not sure if thes are the only 2 that dont work because i have only tried these 5. Thanks for your help.

I'm not sure what could be happening without details, so my only advice would be, keep trying more mobs, check the process carefully. If you could replace it once you can do it many times hehe
Just keep trying. Good luck.

about editing wolfs...
what if you have a white wolf?
because i edited lvl 39 wolfs to making it look like ceberus, it worked tho but it only showed lvl 39 grey wolfs as ceberus.

Well, the entry of the grey wolfs is "COS_P_WOLF_0XX" where XX is the level of the wolf, the entry of the white wolfs works the same way but the entry looks like this: "COS_P_WOLF_WHITE_0XX" same about level.
Enjoy your new wolf

The +9 is only possible if your weapon already has a +3 or +5, so unless yours is already ++ you won't be able to see this.
Anyway, i would do it but the Seals hate me and i can't make the glow work...

I dont get it. Ill try a bunch more. Also, im not changing high lvl mercs with horses because i didnt think i needed to since the roc.bsr script is shorter then the wolf one. Could that maybe be the problem? I dont think it is because it works with other uniques but ill try it anyways. Thanks.

You said the roc entry is shorter, then, did you do the adding 00 thing? because maybe the size isn't the same, just check that, it's the only thing that comes to my mind atm.

Hey rotti, go to
in your characterdata.txt file. Then find:
its father down in the line. Then replace that with this:
Since the TG script is longer you need to free up space in the txt file so follow the instructions in the first post to do that.
Code: Select all
2191 COS_C_HORSE1in your characterdata.txt file. Then find:
Code: Select all
cos\c_horse1.bsrits father down in the line. Then replace that with this:
Code: Select all
mob\china\tigerwoman.bsrSince the TG script is longer you need to free up space in the txt file so follow the instructions in the first post to do that.

Now after you do that you need to add null bytes in a hex editor to make it the same size as the original file. Then inject it back in the media.pk2 file.
Whoop, wait a minute there dude, it's not that entry... any entry beggining with "npc" are npc models/textures and so, with that replacement you would change the stable npc for TG.
Look for COS_C_HORSE1, that's the entry of the horse.

I can do everything from changeing weapon to adding + glows and modding mobs/pet- but the seal glows confuses me when i get to step 7.
7. Now find your weapon's entry in itemdata.txt with a Unicode search.
8. Once you find the correct entry, do another Unicode search for "18000".
9. You will see that following the 18000 there are two zeroes. Change the second one to a two.
10. Save and test.
11. If you already have a seal item and want to change its glow you simply need to swap it's tier letter with the desired one. (make sure you swap them so that both still have an entry)
I would love a better explanation of this part...sry im not good at quoteing yet...

LoL !!! GeT It OfF Me !!!!!!!
well, for those who have problems with "Seal Glows" here is something that can help you all
At the end there is how to fix the problem for some of you
Adding Seal Glows:
Seal glows are defined in "itemrare.txt" which is also in the resinfo folder of Media.pk2
1. Open up Media.pk2 in your hex editor and do a search for "raretype" in ANSI mode.
2. Next do a second search for your item in the usual format, in ANSI mode.
3. Now here is where you have to decide what seal you want it to be. If you want it to be SoSun you need to look for the "third tier" entry of your weapon. So if you originally searched for "ITEM_CH_SWORD_07_B_RARE" you need to scroll down till you see "ITEM_CH_SWORD_07_C_RARE". At this point, check your file size.
4. With that in view, go into insert mode and remove the rare so it looks like "ITEM_CH_SWORD_07_C".
5. Next go into over mode change the C to a B since you have a second tier sword.
6. Now with your cursor still where you changed the C to a B, do a hexadecimal search for "0D". Look in the left column to where it found it's result. You should see an "0A" immediately after it. Now in between those two, you need to insert ten zeroes (00 00 00 00 00) Make sure that your file size is the same as it was before.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At step 7 many you are may be confuse. He meant that you need to YOUR item in itemdata.txt in media.pk2 file. To to this this a easy.
Step 1: scroll at the way to the top of the file and and put ur cursor in front of the first hex.
Step 2: do a search for this in unicode : item\etc\drop_ch_money_small.bsr
Step 3: do a backward search for this FF FE 31. This should bring you to the top of itemdata.txt in media.pk2
Step 4: Now do another unicode search for YOUR item !!! remeber to uncheck backward search !!!!
For example: im doing 8th degree 72 spear, I search for this ITEM_CH_SPEAR_08_C
Step 5: Do another unicode search for 180000. It should look like this 1.8.0.0.0.0..0.0 <--- change this to 2. Save and test.
I didn't do this stuff, i just "Copy & Paste".
Might this help
