Throwing insults dosnt accomplish anything. Just makes people, or me anyways, not want to read what YOU have to say. I think you should actually sit back and see what hes asking. Hes asking to see how good your build is, not how good your bow is. In order to see how good a BUILD is, we need a constant which we dont seem to have. Equal gear must be used to determine a better BUILD. If the scales are tilted in favor of the person who is lucky in alchemy (more blues on equip, etc), or got a lucky hand-me-down from a guildie, that proves nothing about your build, just that you have better gear.

PS: You know we have a damage contest here, right? You keep saying that your damage is uber 1337, well...put up the numbers. I have an entry at 65 with a 9gap and an sos+5 64 bow, so it could be interesting.

Your calculations are wrong. These calculations seems to be the most accurate at proving how damage is calcuated.

mag_dmg_base = int*int_reinforce/100 + mag_dmg
phy_dmg_base = (str*str_reinforce/100 + phy_dmg)*(100+wep_mastery_lv)/100

//damage output
phy_damage = (skill_dmg + base_phy_dmg) * skill_dmg_percent
mag_damage = (imbue_dmg * mastery_bonus_imbue +base_mag_dmg) * skill_dmg_percent

total_damage_output = phy_damage * phy_balance + mag_damage * mag_balance

Total damage output for criticals is calculated this way.

total_damage_output = phy_damage*2*phy_balance+mag_damage*mag_balance

Thanks. I knew some people understood what I was saying. Liquidsmooth isn't going to change to +3 bow to crit a manyang because he/she is afraid of being wrong.

EDIT:Posting SS of a sos+3 crit right now.


This is a crit from a lvl 67 pure str sos+3 from the guild that I am in.
Eversong has 310 str and 127 int. His str balance is 103% and int balance 43%. Without gear he has 278 str(95%) and 92 int(31%).

Now, lets take the formula I stated and put it to work.

total_damage_output = phy_damage*2*phy_balance+mag_damage*mag_balance

Without imbue, his damage on strongbow was about 11.8k(Not an average). His phy balance is 103%. His mag damage with strongbow adds about 8.3k(Not an average) damage. His mag balance is 43%.

If you put that into the formula, the total output damage for a critical would be 29600 which is pretty accurate considering that this is not an average and attack rating wasn't factored in.



With his sos+3 bow this is his mag and phy damage:
Phy damage: 1633~1979
Mag damage: 1231~1586

Liquidsmooth's phy and mag damage when his/her sos+5 bow is equipped:
Phy damage: 1525~1833
Mag damage: 1391~1668

I don't know what level his imbue was but I don't think that give him about 4 or 5k more damage to equal your damage. Depending on your balance, I guess it is possible for a str hybrid to critical harder than a pure str bow.

The new skills give bow the ability to stun and knock back. It doesn't really matter what bow build you make now since you won't have to depend on criticals so much.
