Ok, this is my theory.

SoftMod is a ''private'' iSROBOT crack. It cracks an outdated version of isrobot, 1.54 which is also what all the softmod users use.

1.58 or something like that is an updated bot version, this is what the people that buy bot from botsmall/bot258 use.

1.58 and 1.54 send different packets to server and 1.54 is easily detectable by joymax. That's why imo everyone who was banned used softmod.

There have been several suggested ways to detect botters through software. Public key cryptography comes to mind.

You all forget that Bots are systems, and have to work off of time delays. Using the random function would help, but it is time consuming and the bots would become ineffective if numerous commands had to be accessed simultaneously. Bots also use very basic packet sniffers, so it knows what the server is telling the client. All of these follow pretty basic algorithms, and a simple system could be derived to locate and confirm bot activity, just by watching the packet flow. Also, Gamegaurd is not a static program; It records information about activity and sends it back to INCA Internet, or whoever controls data integrity, to be verified by human users.

In laymans terms, if you bot, anyone can find out, and many do. It is just a matter of 'time' as to when, or if, someone will do something about it.

Nope. All you have to do is zoom all the way in and use the arrow keys to move. You can walk right through the fire ox and see the NPC.

Besides, when people do that, I disconnect them.
