Specific Heuksal Weapon Skills

Im grinding my glaive and i don't know what skills to invest in. I know that soul spear and ghost spear should be maxed out but not sure for the others. here are my questions

1. how do i use the fanning spear series (no damage, just blocks phy/mag attacks)?
2. why use annihilating blade series if soul spear is better (meaning as soon as i get soul spear, stop putting sp into this and delevel later on)?
3. why use heuksal spear if ghost spear is better (do same above)?
4. fire shield is useless for glaive right (no shield)?

Also, im thinking of skipping skill farming in 1x to 3x and try to 0 gap until 4x, this way, i get better drops and hopefully, sos/som/sosum. your comments?

they just increase you're magical defense,good for pvp if you are fighting a nuker

i did take this also,but tbh its a waste unless you have enough sp.

3. why use heuksal spear if ghost spear is better (do same above)?

don't use it

4. fire shield is useless for glaive right (no shield)?

nope,its the only way you can become immune to ice,i say use a low lvl shield,equip,buff and equip ure glaive

yes you can, think of it like a buff that only lasts 15 sec

nope,it will last the buff time(around 3-5 minutes)and then you have to buff it again like the other buffs

as for you're sp farming plan,i would sugesst buying a good bow lvl 16(sos)and farming at the bandit den with a 9 gap.there are allot of good farm guides,just check out the forums.i didnt farm with my char ,and just make little pit stops to farm sp.i farmed some at 16,24,32 and gonna farm from 40-45

nope,it will last the buff time(around 3-5 minutes)and then you have to buff it again like the other buffs

as for ur farming..its Ok to farm at any lvl at 16,32,42...at 16 u wouldnt realli get VERY GOOD drops (prolly elixirs, SOS drops are rare, i farmed 9K SP at bandit den and got no SOS

... but gt 30+ elixirs )
u will get rather good drops when farming at higher lvl 42,52,60,70+

now u hv to make a choice...its
"lvl up fast to reach higher lvl wif 0-3 gap and then farm at higher lvl"
VS.
"farm now at 16 to get all skills u want until nxt farming lvl"

so its up to u...for the 1st 1..u will start 2 enjoy the game aft fin farming at higher lvl (farming at higher lvl = more efficient/more valuable drops)..but it tk realli alot of time and patience (to lvl up wif 0 gap to 50+ and then + to farm)..but u cant realli enjoy the game at lower lvl below 50 bcoz u aim to lvl up fast wif 0-3 gap and u gt no SP to max the skills

for the latter, it will be enjoying the game NOW and thru-out as u will be farming -> 0-3 gap to next farming lvl --> farming --> 0-3 gap to nxt farming lvl...but ur lvl-ing will b much slower/drops at lower lvl nt as valuable/SP gain nt as effecient compared to higher lvl farming

If u cant confirm that u will still b still playing when ur char is lvl 60,70+ like me (lvl-ing up to 60,70 will tk a long time even wif a 0-3 gap + farming will tk even more time, prolly 5-6 months?), then its better to farm at lvl 16 to get enough SP to max out all skills u want until next farming lvl 32...
i thk (just that i think) tis is more fun so u can enjoy and do the hard work at same time instead of grinding at 1 go

i tried to max gap from 1 to 16 (ie, 9 gap starting at lvl 9). then leveling started to get very slow even with exp bonus from quest. i did manage to accum about 3k of sp but i can't take it anymore. its just too slow to level up. i'll probly farm another 5k in 24 but 0 gap from 16 to 24

Heuksal spear is not that useless. The cooldown is very small: you can use Heuksal spear + ghost spear + heuksal spear if you're mobbed.

but at higher level, i can do ghost bk 1 and ghost bk 2 (assuming i get to bk 2 that is), and i don't have to waste sp on leveling both skills. watchatink?

hmm...dun ! get to your SP farming lvl as fast as u can wif 3-5 gaps and farm ONLY at ur farming lvl wif soX weapon OF COZ (ONLY farm SP at the lvl of ur soX weapon)

so wat i mean was to 3-5 gap fr lvl 1 -16 fast --> farm for enough SP to last u until lvl 30+ at lvl 16 wif soX weapon( which can last until lvl 24 ) --> 0-3 gap fast to lvl 32 by quest, normal grinding wif a normal lvl 24, 26 weapon --> farm for enough SP to last u until 40+ at lvl 32 wif soX weapon again ........

so dun try to hv a 9 gap and farm SP at non soX, normal weapon lvl (eg. 1-15, 17-30)...your SP gain would nt b effective (ur killing rate of mob nt effective)...remember ur aim is to lvl up to next farming lvl ASAP and not farm at ALL lvl....
PS: if u hv lets say lvl 24 soX weapon..then just farm at lvl 24 its flexible as long as u farm on ur soX weapon lvl
And hv 3+5 = 8 K SP can last u until mayb ard lvl 30-32 wif 0 gap depending ur SP usage (pure int nuker build uses much more SP and need farm much more than any other builds)

i see, another new thing learned in srf. i was always doing a lil bit of both in my last char, maintain 6 gap during 2x and 4 gap in 3x. i'll keep that in mind.

too bad sox weps is expensive.

yeah they are...esp lvl 16 SOS +, SOM bows...ridiculous prices
but since ur last char is in 3X i believe u shld hv enough gold to buy at least 1 soX at lvl 16...grind on and find wind 2 to sell...shldnt b much a problem

and join a guild wif helpful, experienced guild mates and mayb u can get some soX for free
(i got a SOS +3 lvl 24 shield for free by joining a guild, the guy who gives me the shield has SOS fr lvl 16-40,50 + as he played for quite a while so i m kinda lending his soX weapons for lvl-ing up, grinding...
guild will want u bcoz u are sp farmers, contribute alot GP, u can ask for the die n res 50 times thing when u lvl up while farming...trust me some guild mates, GM are real nice and they will do it for u at the place n time u want)

that is awesome, too bad i don't see any good guilds in red sea.

another reason for not joining any guild now coz my last guild wasn't that good, its like they were talking among themselves and don't really talk to other guildies, so i gather rather than give them my sp, i'd rather not.

hmm...u can do this...whenever u see any lvl 1,2 guild announcing that they are recruiting, whisper to their GM and discuss...try and see if the GM is interested to tk in a SP farmer and most important, u MUZ state that u WILL require their help for the die and res thing in future ..so its kinda exchange of ur contribution of GP...
in process of discussion u will b able to see if the GM is a nice person or nt fr the tone etc.
OR
u can make fren wif some realli experienced + frenly players and ask them to intro u to their guild... again state that u will nid their help..
most likely they will do if they are nice enough
