Pure INT Bow? Whaddya think?

I am going for pure Int bow. Fire and lightning for nukes and buffs, and heuksal for the HP passive. I know, I know, pure int bow?!.... but hear me out. I will lvl fast AND have the nukes to do damage. So, why do people ALWAYS say that pure int bow is not a good build? After I 9 gap to 32, yes it will take forever, I should have enough to 0 gap with all the SP needed to be close to maxed out on my skills. Lemme know what you think. Yes, I know that it will take skill to not die while PvPing and jobbing, so please go easy on me in that area. Thanks in advance for th insight.

The only reason why people say pure int bow is bad because after lvl 30 or whenever you get your nukes, you'll level faster with a spear. A spear does higher magical damage than bow. I think hybrid str, 70:70 hybrid, or int hybrid are all good bow builds. But pure int, why not just use spear?

Not as high damage as a spear.
Not as good as a defense as shield.

Spear has knockback + stun
Sword has knockdown
Bow has range, but you already have range with nukes.

What does this build have? Its a nuker with longer range plus the ability to pick out individual targets. Nukers can hit from a distance? You can hit from more than twice as far away with a bow. Lightning nukers in particular have to get really close to their target. With a bow you can hit people from far enough away so that they never even see you.

Bow skills with imbues for an int bow build hit close to what people hit with nukes but without the splash damage that draws 3-4 mobs to the attack at one time. This can be an advantage when fighting things like yetis or karras.

This is NOT a character for pvp though. It is meant for job fights and support. If you want to be the front line hero, this is not a good build for you. But I have to admit ... though I die quite a bit, I don't seem to die nearly as much as my friends that are just regular nukers.

That's the response i've been looking for. Those were my thoughts exactly. I am doing it for fun. I have a pure str fire and light lvl 70+ Glaiver, so my frontline Hero phase is over. I have always wanted to have a pure int and I like the bow too much because it lvls so dam fast for me. Thanks to all for your fast AND courtious responses.

Read my sig there guy. I have a lvl 70+ Pure str fire and light Glaiver that kicks ass pretty good. I am doing this because I have never had a PURE INT CHARACTER and I like using the bow because it lvls fast.

Yeah, with full INT bow, you will level very fast, but your nukes will suck. And don't even think about PvP. Glavies will 3 hit you and nukers also. For very fast leveling, take the pure INT bow, but keep in mind, that after 30, nukers level faster then any other build.

my friend had a pure int bow back when the cap was 60
when the cave opened he switch to sword/shield cuz even in armor he cant lvl in there
he was doing small damage than a spear
he didint had the +hp from spear
he didnt had the +def and block from the shield

so, int bow its the same as doing int glaiver

Int hybrid/Str hybrid they're ok. But the best build for bow is full STR.
Because bow crits alot. And the crits on the STR side are the strongest.

So be a pure STR iff you want to pwn.

I disagree I pwned a pure str bower that was my lvl easy pure str bows sux go with hybrid int or hybrid str

I see the only advantage of Pure Int Bow :
Bow with high critical is expensive like hell. But a with a Pure Int Bow, critical 2 also serves you well

I have to admit I haven't been in the caves to grind ... and don't plan to be there for a while yet. I plan to work my way through yetis and worms and karras first. The caves seem to be rough on all nukers though.

A good bow is important ... but isn't a good weapon important for any build? BTW a good crit on the bow helps. You aren't going to suffer as much as a pure str with a bow with a bad crit on it, but one with a good crit does help.

Lol... you can be the badass of badassnes, if im full farmed and have a sosun bow...
Get it in you head guyz, this game is all about GEAR, not just skillz.
I got a lvl32 SOM bow at lvl40 and i ks the higher lvl ks-er bots. (may they burn in hell for ks-ing me so many times)
Now i have a lvl42 sos bow, and have to pimp it up, buut, its wort it.
Ill be farming at lvl46 with gap 9.
