why did my thread get locked

my thread was probably the only ever thread about botting that has no flames. It was becoming a large discussion on many things and the mod just said "this has run its course" locked

wtf. How do u no its run its course. Maybe people would like to add sumthing. This is a forum yeah ?? and no flames involved means it should stay open. noob mod.

You simply locked it because it was involving bot topics. you carry on that way and some time down the line we will all accept bots with no questions asked and y? becasue people dont want to see the word bot in a forum no more?

I locked it as I stated in my response. Bot threads, no matter how well intentioned, start flames, personal attacks and worse. They create alot of animosity among the community and work for the mods.

Now, when a mod makes a decision, it is generally final. Why do we sometimes lock topics before a person even replies? Simply, cuz we know that it is going to turn into a mass Flame war, this is us taking action, and yes. Generally the ones that we always lock are about BOTs.

Now, your thread in question, well it had the remenisence of flames, it was getting there, and you were being pretty harsh Towards JM. People then started to throw in the old Accusation of JM and BOTs working together, which IMO is completely untrue. This is where hells (i believe) decided to shut the topic. This is where it was going to get out of hand, so dont say that your topic was completely Flame free.. N personaly, i think his choice to lock the topic was completely justified.

Now, about this topic...
