Why doesn't silkroad have this?

Post by Tasdik »

Alright my brother plays WoW and he told me about this market thing where you put your item say how much your selling it for then if say someones looking for an SoS bow the go to the sos section buy it a tada fast and easy for both the seller and the buyer, you can logg off after you've put your item in the shop and do whatever so instead of having to waste server space we could just pure it in this shop it would save alot of time and help the lagg cause their wouldn't be any stalls

the AH, people have been asking for something similar since forever, i believe they implemented something like it in tSRO, apart from you still had to be logged in.

EDIT: OMG! finally a veteran!

but if theres that system there goes your chance of getting a good deal! people will go to w/e section see how much ppl r selling it for and set similar price, i enjoy looking threw different stalls looking for the perfect piece or great deal gives the game a whole other element

Its been suggested MANY times before and I think its kSRO that has got a system like this where you can place items in an auction house. Try looking in the updates thread.

+1. I also enjoy shopping around stalls looking for deals and other stuff. If there was an auction house implemented, I'll never be able to find an sos 16 bow for 1 mil again

Meh. I kinda like the idea and kinda don't. Prices would be higher, but it'd be easier to find things.

Oh, and Ell, that's a leet skillbar in your sig. Dunno what the build would be called though. Frenzy Healsig Echo Mendingway? Needs more Hamstring imo, for Hamstorm awesomeness. Quad profession bars are the best.

Actually prices would be lower because the system would stop you from making insanely high prices.

Heh it totally works! Use Endure pain, dolyak sig and your invincible! Frenzy+heal sig=33% faster healing!! Use firestorm to "rain fire down on your opponents". Echo mending and your team's invincible!

Heres what the skill sequence would be, Dolyak Sig, Endure pain, /dance, wait for teamates to die, Res them all! Repeat. :D

lmao. Ell's a genius . Too bad nobody else will understand. :(
/offtopicness

What I meant by higher prices was, a lot of the deals will be gone, since prices will be pretty standardized, maybe a little difference. No more awesome deals from clueless/new people, since they can look up the worth of an item easily.

i said that suggestion b4

without the help or WOW

why don't joymax make item mall (not the existing one)

to put our items and set the prices

and log off

it will make the servers popullated all the time

consider that all the server playing and no 1000 stall in each city
so there is no more lag

we have in pacific for example each one in the server play in char and open stall with another account

if there r 10 k ppl playing

there r 20 k accounts connected (i don't open stall  )

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

joymax replied that "stalls are one of the basics of SilkRoad we can't cancel it "

u can still do great bussines with AH implemented
some ppl pay high cuz they want the item fast
in AH u put the item with a value to ppl bid and a buyout
the rich ppl always buyout all items cuz they dont want to wait till the bid time ends to get the item
Lets say i put a sosun for 600mil in AH for bid and buyout of 800mil
the bid last 24h so if u make a bid u need wait till the 24h finish and noone bid better than u, or u can buyout and get the item right away.
There is nice addons for wow to use the auction house, like auctioneer, u can be rich if u know how the market works in u server.

They could make a Clientless Stall:
In a street, where there are just stalls and the items you have in storage/inventory you will be able to put on display and sell:
[stall player #1] [stall player #2]
[stall player #3] [stall player #4]
[stall player #5] [stall player #6]

Well you get the idea, and also a scrolling system IN the stall
Like:

[ Name Of the Stall]
[ Item #1 ] [ Item #2 ]
[ Item #3 ] [ Item #4 ]
[ ....
[ Item #9 ] [ Item #10]

[ < 1/2/3 > ]

This way the server would have WAY less traffic, cus the character won't actually be standing there, just a stall.

And maybe put a limit on the number of stalls, and thus a limit on the occupants.

Just an Idea! :D

I dont like this idea---stalls are IMO the best thing in the game. I like going from stall to stall and just comparing the prices, i find it very relaxing compared to the insane grinding.

if they made this, it'd take out the fun in the 'WOW i just got a frigging hot deal from a nub in JG' conversation. cuz then everyone would have 'around' the same prices. Also i think the stats on each item don't work quite the same way as WoW. there are a lot of white stats on SRO equipment, which means this will take a LOT of space on a market system like that (to scroll through at least)

also i think it'd make people a lot lazier :P
I remember back in the day a friend was saying in guild chat how their squirrel was making them so lazy... he was yelling at his squirrel for not being fast enough xD.

anyway, this market system DOES get rid of those stupid elixir/sos scammers that exist for the stalls
