LOL funny thread, i miss my newbie days !!

I discovered this game when a guy posted about it in a random forum. So i thought hey lets d/l this thing and try it out.

So i make an account and choosed a server. I made my char and logged in. After that .....chaos. I was inside a chinese house or somethign (u know the place u spawn when u first create a char) and couldnt find my way out of there, lmao the door was just ahead but i kept going on all the wrong ways.

Found another lvl1 guy there who was trying to find he way out too. After like 10 minutes of trying we found it ^^

I thought that it was good to put even points to str and int.

I started out using glavie at lvl1 cause i liked its look better than the other weapons, lol !! I then was using spear or glavie randomly, couldnt tell the difference.

I was wearing armor cause i thought... wow armor must be so powerfull !!

I too didnt knew that there was more skills untli i was lvl 30, and that is cause i met a guy when i was grindind and he asked me why i was not using ghost spear petal when i had many mobs on me. I was like WTF is ghost spear petal i dont have this skill !!

Didnt knew about the autopot also until that day, i was using pots by pressing buttons.

At my early days i kept seeing the msg Tiger Girl has appeared on tiger mountain, and i was trying to find the top of the mountain to see what that tiger girl is ^^

Oh and skills, this is funny, i was upping every skill literaly !!! I thought hey i can have all these awesome skills to cast hehe.

When i first saw a character with the grasswalk buff i thought that u can only have that by buyng the drugs from the npc shop and they where soo expensive.... i was thinking how the hell ppl can affort that since it only last for a little time.

When i first saw guard of ice on a character i thought is because he wears sos things (cause i saw in some stalls tha sos items have a little star going in circle around them )

And the most funny part, when i first heard about sp farming, i thought u can do that at the demon horse place LOL (they are horses, usually horses live in farms ^^ )

I also didnt knew that u must login on the same server so i was trying and trying to login on all servers and no one accepted me, i was so sad i thought i got banned or something :banghead:

I cant think of anything else now, but those days where the most funny and exciting ones

and I'm still full of noobish thoughts!
It took me a while to realize I could stack stuff so my first several levels' worth of stuff all went to NPCs because I was just all full up.

The scrolling down to more skills thing, yeah, I only learned that a few levels ago.

My build is a hybrid trainwreck; but I enjoy playing and learning as I go!

For a long time i thought that the cap was 70, because people would run out of mobs to grind and wouldn't get enough exp to level any further.

And I thought, that having a blade with primary phys. damage ment I had to have more INT so that i obtain a balance.

I thought there are only 4 skills in each section.. realised that there are more at lv32.lmfao

i didn't know what str/int is till lv 35
(i have a friend lv 65 who asked me what is difference between pure int and full int so im not that bad

first time i played this game, i got an sos level 1 crown (if i remember correctly), all i know was that there's something going around the item when i viewed it. i stalled it just a little over the "store purchasing price"... it got sold right away rofl

i didnt know about auto pots not until i was level 20+ when i met my friend online...

i didnt know that there are 3 tiers per degree and the weapon i used was always the 1st tier (+0)! lol no wonder i was levelling so slow...

My first char :
I used only default attack + imbue until a 2x guy told me to use weapon skill as well. Cuz I thought Pure Str char only use Weapon skill trees and Pure Int char only use Elemental skill trees.
Of course, I didn't know the existence of later skills on the trees cuz I didn't scroll down. And finally I found out other skills at lv27, by asking a guy what is the yellow glow on his hand (Demon Soul Arrow), first I thought that he mixed his Ice imbue with Lightning Imbue.

hahaha yeah a lot of noobs think that. I never even knew capes existed until someone told me about them, and told me what they were for, so I never made the mistake of grinding in one.

What's even funnier is when you see a newbie player wearing a cape and he drops dead and screams RESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. Can't he see the window on his screen with the "ressurect at current point" button?

hmmmm... I remember when I started playing, I ran out jangan south gate and always thought I was heading north to the mangyangs.

I remember at low levels thinking that the shoulder part of garments WAS the garment itself. As in as long as I was wearing the orbs over my shoulders, I had a garment (I called it robe) set.

I thought it was going to be just a game I didnt realize that i would become a hermit and would show similar symptoms so drug addiction after only a few days.

When I first started I thought that you earned silk through trading so I was really excited to get to lvl 20 so I could earn silk never the less I was disapointed.

Like everybody else I also didnt know that you could scroll down the skills till I was about lvl 20. However I always forget about that infact I was lvl 30 on pacific before I remembered to do it :banghead:

i started way before all these updates(alchemy etc.) ..when Troy was new..

the cape thing happened to me too , and i couldnt understand why the ..... can i just stand up and walk on after i die lol.

i also though that in level 20 you can actually be a hunter or complete a trade run ... yeah.... >.>

with my first char i lvl up everything so i was lvl 16 with every weapon and force skill on lvl 10 or so

i remember on my first char, i was grinding away on mangyangs/small eyed ghosts/big eyed ghosts for a few days. after a while i decided to ask someone what the yellow bar above the exp bar was, and why it had 100 and something next to it. (i cant rememebr the exact amount)

selling my lvl 8 sos glavie for 5k.... lol
thinking you could open chin tomb.
horses dont last forever which is too bad.
didnt add str or int til lvl 16 on my first character lol

someone in my union vent said a few days ago that until he hit lvl 30 he didint know that there are more than 4 skills in each tree
he said he hited 30 and looked for the nuke and cant found it then someone told he there was more skills

LOL, those days are funny...

-Thinking 'wow, npc pays 20k for each elixir!' So NPC'd them all, including Weapon elix.

-not knowing about more than 4 skills til early 20s

-thought that the shimmer on a weapon came from using it a lot and having it equipped when you lvl, so I too was only using 1st tier stuff.

-trading would get you item mall silk!

-trading would make you a million gold, easy!! So loaded up a 5 (well 3/4 star) camel and got jacked 10 steps out of jangan, west gate. I don't even think he hit me; he farted loud and killed me and the camel.

-lucky items were valuable b/c they help you get more drops. I was blinged out with 10-15 lucky's lol.

-those character points were free and meant to go anywhere you wanted to put them.

-finally lived to run past the headless dudes at back of ch'in tomb only to find the door doesn't open.

-more buffs must mean that person has more sos stuff equipped.

-hotan must be the place people get these special 'glowing' weapons...there must be a quest that will give you your choice of weapon or something...

-it's awesome to be at lvl 30!! wow, all this str & hp and nukes too! My nukes are horrible tho, maybe I need to do that quest to get one of those glowing weapons, that should make them stronger.

On my first character i grinded until lvl 13 or so on Small Eye Ghosts.

Was selling weapon elixirs for 50k and when i saw someone bought it i was like yay i have 50k xD

I thought that you should keep those points for your health and magic even you know, or if you felt like having some more health, just add some more points one lvl, why not?!

If I was a thief and killed someone, I would get something of theirs (i.e. their glowy sword)

Nearing lvl 30, hearing about hese "nukes" "where the heck are they?! Do they appear next to my lvl or something?" Who the heck thinks to SCROLL down in your skills? :banghead:

Spear? Glavie? What's the difference? Why can't I use my knockdown skill with my glavie?

"I CAN STUN PEOPLE WITH LIGHTNING!" (Used spear/glavie then)

Didn't know you had to buy new horses.

If I traded I would get silk and then logically buy things from the item mall with my silk! :banghead:

first when i farmed at mangyangs, I didnt know that there was ZERK...and i got for the first time playing this game 6 drops in that moment and thought it wont fit in me coz its female or garment and armor. Ended up dropping them ever since till i realized it when i began adding a friend at level 16... :banghead:

also, i began to know plusing an item and adding blues at level 30...

muwahahaha, and im level 80 now ...muhahahaha!!

Hehe.. I thought if u trade using the longest way from DW to jangan u'll get more gold and trade exp. So i use the longest way i can find. only to know that it's just the same.

I thought my monkey's inventory will open the second - fifth page when i lvl up.

Thought farming was like keeping most of ur sp and only using it some (0 gaps coz i lvl up my weapon skill as i lvl up.

Autopot? late.

1 scroll of horse can only use once? late.

wanna ++ item need lucky powder? late.

white wolf is the same as grey wolf? late.

NPC thieves is not a player? late. I always whine "WTF? thieves can kill anyone they like? This is soooo unfair!!!"

Just some of the noob thoughts i had..
