Powerlevel new character?

Post by tombbb »

I have a level 42 character and want to try out a new build. What I've been considering is creating a new char on my second computer and have that follow my main in an experience share party. This way, I'll hopefully powerlevel the new character for the first 10 or 20 levels. Would this be possible? Or would this be against the rules?

Share parties aren't against the rules lol, lots of ppl do it, theres always a high lvl with a newb on a horse following them somewhere.

Just exp dist party and GRIND GRIND GRIND, skip all quests that arent sweeping quests on the mob you are grinding. You lvl faster by grinding instead of doing quests on mobs you can skip. Like I skipped Earth ghosts and Taoists and out leveld everyone else around me. Just grind man :D

Its too bad you cant get a noobie into the caves. I could only imagine a shared pt with 7 nukers or bowers in adjacent rooms with the noobie in the hallway with a therapy ring. LOL

Actually, the extra exp bonus they got from actually using a share party in range of each other might completely cover the exp loss from the person they were powerleveling.
LOL

i hate powerlvling others, it's just pathetic. i get way less exp so they can lvl up. and it's not like im at cap and have nothing to do or anything. random guys keep asking me to powerlvl them, what's up with that?

They are lazy and can't handle grinding. I guess if you feel nice enough to "help" them you can. It's kinda pointless and a waste of YOUR time imo because it's not like they can be powerleveled through the whole game. They are going to have to grind sometime and when they do, they will quit.

Share parties in this game are completely useless.

Once upon a time, it was profitable when grinding an area with people your level, IF all members are actively working away. One slacker and its pointless.

THEN CAME THE GOLD TICKET.

Which doesn't work in a share party. Share party is now useless for grinding. GG.

So... why?

Why does a 4 man party non-share give you an XP bonus? We know it does, but does anyone know WHY?

To promote community?

Not a lot of social talk when half the random party is botting anyways.
