[QUESTION] How can i use less CPU %?

Post by lordstrong9 »

Hey everyone i was just wondering How i can use less % of my CPU because when i stall at night the cpu is always at 100% usage. i was wondering if anyone knows a way that i could keep it on the desktop and that it would not be using cpu for silkroad. hence not using any graphics for it, just on the desktop. can anyone help? and give advice?

Many thanks!

My p.c sounds like a car starting up lol

100%, wow, mines usually around 30% ish :S. While your playing press ctrl, alt and delete, it will bring up the task manager and hopefully stop the game from rendering any new frames until you click on it again, thus reducing the cpu usage.

Go to start > Press on Run > Enter msconfig > When the window pops up go to Startup > Maximize the window and then check out everything you don't need on the start up > After that you just have to restart your computer and when you log back in ignore a pop up that will come, just some stupid notice.

press ctrl+alt+del to bring up task man

then switch to cpu ussage screen making sure that you close all you other stuff other than SRO otherwise theres no point.

then whilst at the cpu usage screen move the task man window around over the SRO screen. This will stop your computer from rendering SRO it will inturn reduce your cpu usage down to around 3%

Depends on how you close it, by crashing it, it will automatically back.

to get windows back just click on file then new task and type in explorer.exe it will start it back up without needing to reboot.

I also didnt mean turn all of your processes of that would be a stupid thing to do I meant make sure you have turned of all other stuff like browsers media players and a like
