Wierd Error | Cant Start Game

Post by Dsoto87 »

Hey. Im new to this game and just downloaded it today but I cant seem to start it. It goes to the startup screen, than goes to the nProtect screen and after that, i get this error....

I have no idea what thats supposed to mean. I went to the silkroad website and downloaded the directx driver (turns out i had the must up to date one already) and downloaded the updated ATI drivers so I dont know what it can be. I even reinstalled the game and still got that same error. Anyone have the same experience?....any help would be appreciated

Sounds like a bad idea to just shut of the firewall. If i'm not wrong, you should be able to allow the Silk Road exe file in tHe firewall settings. I don't use Norton any more but I remember having that trouble with things all the time.

^ It was set to be allowed through the firewall but didn't work anyway. The only way seemed to be disabling Norton altogether.

If you would like an alternative and free firewall, check out Zonealarm free edition. It is a very good firewall for free. Norton is a huge resources hog. Ditch it man.
Infamous up in this.
