What is the best PvE type of char??

Topic says all. I'm probably just going to do trade runs with buddies of mine. I'll probably just be doing 1 stars but incase I 2 star with them, what class/type of char should I be? I was thinking Ice/Blade/Str but don't they level slow? I don't want to have to farm much SP as I don't care how I powerful I am at higher levels I just want to play. I'll probably get a 9 gap at 16, use my GT and when it's done just level like normal. Any suggestions? Basically I want to be able to survive a 1 person thief attack (lets say a player thief thats the same level as me). I don't have to kill them, just survive (knock them down, stun them, run away w/e it takes). And I don't want to level slow (I would be making a blader right now but I think they level slow I'm not sure). Any suggestions on a good PvE char?

however pure int's usually don't fare very well in 1 vs 1 pvp.

Pure Str bow due to its range and nice health (and nice dmg when crit)

I don't want to have to farm much SP as I don't care how I powerful I am at higher levels I just want to play.

I focus stricly PvE as well and about the extent of my PvP would be player thieves that are jacking 1* but like you I am PvE oriented, grinding, questing, trade runs, fighting uniques (all those Environmental things the game offers)....now all that said, I am Pure STR Glav/Fire......that is pretty much universally thought to be great for PvP based on forum threads but I find it extremely powerfull in PvE.....focusing on Jang, I can pretty much "quickly" kill everything including ferry-area Chakji Workers, White Tiger Giants, etc.....haven't faced off against TG yet but we shall see. As for 1* NPC thieves - usually takes a two hit imbue and they are down so I would suggest glav or spear - fire or ice (both maybe for now) and put all or most of your xp points in STR (you can buy mp pots with all the gold and drops you pick up but Strength is going to keep you alive longer if as you say you need to stun and run

yes he was asking PvE, but he also asked about doing trades and perhaps some 2*. so i told him that pure INT is not so good for 1 vs1 in jobs
