For all who are complaining about the whole 2-mastery thing at lvl 90... what Joymax is TRYING to do is make the game more even and give it more variety.

By only being able to max 2 masteries, you're forced to choose your weapon skills, and a force of your choice.

The weapon is self explanatory... You get its passive and its skills. But the forces are whats going to make the game different and more even.

If you choose Fire for your force, you're deciding on doing lots of damage since fire is the strongest. In return, you are sacrificing speed and defense. Good for STR based characters because of the buffs.

If you choose Lightning for your force, you're deciding on relying on speed and doing decent damage. Good for INT heavy characters because of the buffs.

If you choose Cold for your force, you're deciding on defense over damage and speed. Good for both INT (because INT has low hp) and STR (because you can be a beast of a tank) based characters.

If you choose Force for your force, you're basically the odd-one out, but a key player in guild/job wars as you would be a healer/resser. You get no buffs or imbues, no cool damage spells, etc. But if you look at a lot of other online games, healers are meant for healing... not dealing damage.

As far as STR and INT goes, I'm not sure what they want you to do with those... maybe they want you to go hybrid, maybe they don't care. It's all up to you I guess.

So you see, Joymax not trying to piss you off, they're trying to make a more balanced game where everybody has their own thing, rather than everyone using the SAME buffs and the SAME nukes and the SAME everything just to see who can hit harder. Does that mean I like the idea? Not necessarily... but it will make the game more interesting for sure.

EDIT: Disregard the above, I realized you can max 2 masteries PLUS your weapon mastery with the lvl 90 cap (and still have 30 mastery points left). But IF they up the cap further than 90, the above applies. :D

I'd say give us infinite amount of masteries, since it is only fun when u have a ton of skills to play arnd with

& if it ever gets to just two trees to choose from, i'd give up anything for light mastery, even if i'm pure str

+1

Choices are something that people arent forced to make in this game. The more choices that have to be made, the more diverse characters will be created. Im all for this.

In other games healers dont suck as much as they do in SRO. Sure Therapy and ress are nice. But ATM they are only 79, while cap is 80. Healing has super retarded range, selfheal and status are worthless, pills and pots do it quicker. Parry and hit ratio lowering skills take too much time to cast, last too short, and they can be canceled like a buff. And we dont have the most important- IMBUE!

Still I like my Force, it's priceless when somebody asks you for ress and you dont want to ress them. :D

it will be nice to see meny kinds of nukers instead of 2

atm is sword or spear.

with new skills. you will have sword fire/light, sword light/ice, spear fire/light, spear light/ice, ice/fire/light. thats alot of possibilities for builds. each with there own strenght and weakness in pvp. the ice ones having tons of defence, and the fire ones having more attack.

some archers might even go back to ice if the new skills give them enough damage.

Yeah when i was thinking about this game, there really isnt much of any variety. Limiting this will make it a more interesting game and fun to pvp.

I'd be ice again if they just fix it where the shield buff goes away if you take your shield off :P.

They are not going to raise the cap, they don't want us to be able to get everything >_>, and its better that way, even with these new skills it would be totally gay, lvl 90 with every buff, and every force skill -_-.

Not gonna happen.

then they'd better not make the final cap @150. im fine with 100, which gives u 3 full trees, but 150 only allows 2 full trees. i can't live without my grasswalk. :banghead:

what's the chance you'll lvl your character to 150? it will be years before 150 gap ever comes anyways ^^
