So many movies have been made based on comics, what's your favorite and why?
Superman (several)
Batman (several)
The Hulk
The Punisher
Daredevil
Spiderman (several)
The Crow
Sin City
The 300 (not yet released)
Elektra
Fantastic 4
X-Men
I know there are more, but I can't remember.

Road To Perdition has a fantastic score, and I enjoyed it thoroughly as a movie. I am not a huge fan of the X-Men movies. The original Superman of course, also has a good score, but with John Williams composing that goes without saying. V For Vendetta is one of my favorite graphic novels, lost something in the transition to film, but still made a pretty good movie.
Most of them were either terrible or decent, and no better. Batman Begins was a very good adaptation but though I am a great fan of Christian Bale as an actor, I still don't think the screenplay and direction truly brought out the dark knight that I was hoping for. His dark side was too Hollywood, his detective skills downplayed in favor of his gadgets and martial arts. It was a very good attempt and miles better than the previous films in the franchise.
If I had to choose a favorite, I guess it would be Road To Perdition. But that may be because I've never read the graphic novel on which it was based.

oops forgot mine was the crow J O barr wrote some nice stuff.
Of course Frank Miller is just plain awesome so Sin City, the 300 are in the tops too. I can;'t remember how much of a hand he had in batman, but begins is probabaly my favorite.
V for vendetta was well done too.
I forgot Nick Fury agent of SHIELD starring David Hasselhof, or I wish I could forget it.

The main problem I have with it is that it is soooo edited and look so freakin fake. I mean come on, red skys that look like lava and wtf if I'm watching a movie about ancient wars I don't want heavy metal to be playing it's supposed to be epic sounding music.
I love war/action type of movies, but this really is killing it.

I'm not a fan of the old, old comic-based movies, so my picks are all based on the new stuff.
1)Spiderman (all)
2)X-Men (all)
3)Batman Begins
4)Blade (only the 1st one)
5)Batman (beginning with Batman Forever)
6)Road to Perdition
And on that note, let's all enjoy the bestest ever clip from Batman...

AHH!
AMERICAN SPLENDOR is quite phenomenal. It's an incredibly accurate semi-documentary about an odd mundane man.
GHOST WORLD is pretty sick, though it doesn't quite follow the comic's plot.
SIN CITY
& V FOR VENDETTA
are kickass.
OH, OH! And mustn't forget OLDBOY. That one is gruesomely intense.

When I was a kid, I read real books. I've never read a comic book in my life. Maybe a page or two before I'd put it down in disgust. I've always despised the writing style used in comics.
EDIT: Out of the movies I've seen listed, Sin City was the best IMO. As you can guess, I never read the comic.

1) 300 - i'm a huge history buff
2) Judge Dredd - I remember watching this when I was small, especially the part where the guy says he wants his teeth, I remember playing the game on SNES and being too young/stupid to get past the first couple areas, good memories.
3) Blade - only good movie out of the list, other then judge dredd.
4) No one remembers arnold facing off with the predator in the jungle?
I'm not a comic book fan, never read any.
