What did you expect? Even in the SA forum most of our posts were never replied to. The best we ever got was "we are constantly investigating and banning users of third-party programs" or "we are very busy, expect a new ban list next week". Which usually didn't come when they said it would come, and was invariably much too small.

I am NOT assured you investigate bots.

ALL you have to do to make thousands of players satisfied is to get some1 authorized to ban, INTO takla and start banning. It is SO easy morningdew to make so many people statisfied, WHY are you simply ignoring that hard fact.

Oh and i want you to asnwer this question as neutral as you can.
Which one of these 2 company's would you pick?
Make $5.000 dollars a day and a lot of rumors with it claiming your company is bad or having a company that makes $100 dollars a day but statisfied users AND A CHANCE it grows out to the best company in the world?

Yes, that's how silkroad is right now.

Well, sorry to say but, for Joymax, they are already past the "point of no return". You see, they didn't take care of the bot problem while it was only just starting. Over the months more and more people were sick of being legit and coulden't keep up with the bots. This causes them to bot, then more and more people get the same idea because they are also fed up with falling behind. So whats happens? 90% of players use bot. Thats a very large fraction of the silk buyers. Joymax can't ban them all, they KNOW if they did, they would go out of buisness and that would mean no more Silkroad. So really you have to live with the bots and make the most out of playing the game, bot yourself, OR JM can ban all the botters but that would mean no Silkroad for you to play anymore.

I really wish people would stop accusing Joymax of making bots or not banning silk users. There are plenty of silk users who have been on ban lists, you just choose not to see them or to ignore them.

The problem is not that Joymax does not ban bots. Because they do ban handfuls every now and then. The problem is not that the GMs don't go out looking for botters. I remember after one Silk Assistant meeting Gargamel went into the caves and checked five or ten players that we had our eyes on at the time. A few of them were banned.

The problem from our end is that no progress is being made. Not enough is being done. And the usual defense of "we are working on it" is no longer acceptable. We have been told that for so many months that repeating it again only makes the GMs look worse. We will only accept results. No more promises. Actions speak louder than words.

Why is not enough being done? Everyone has their own opinion on this, ranging from the silly to the truly asinine and offensive. I believe the root of the problem is that the GMs are understaffed and their set of criteria for banning botters is too strict. Who is at fault? In these respects, not the GMs themselves, but their employer, Joymax. I will still fault the GMs for their poor handling of customer relations and their mishandling of the Silk Assistant program, but that's secondary to the real issue.

that is so true.

stop asking joymax or the GMs to BAN the botters since it would destroy the game but rather find a way of making it impossible to the bots to work.
that means current botters would stay but like it happened with CCF, the next server would be ccf-free and bot-free.

but .. wait.. im thinking about it. if botters cant bot anymore, r they gonna leave the game or play it "old-school" by handgrinding their char ?

I do believe the botting problem will be fixed to some extent. The reason is simple, I've played MS(Maple Story) and as some may know it had a large problem with bots, hacks, and whatever else imaginable. It got to point where legit was nearly impossible, which is like where SRO is right now. So to answer the problem, MS enacted mass bannings on several characters, even those who spent money on the game. I think that SRO will soon experience one of these mass bannings for a number of reasons.

1. The botting problem will cause profits to drop.
2. Players will start to leave the game more than normal.
3. The number of complaints will become overwhelming and they will be forced to listen.
4. Various other problems as consequence of the botting problem.

The only thing that Joymax needs to watch, is to not ban any legit players wrongfully, which happened in MS. If these mass bans occur, the population will drop at first, but as news spreads of a more legit game, more players will join and the game's population and profit will stabilize.

You are right... but still using a little bit of google, i search for forums of bots, hacks and etc... when i found one i needed about 5 minutes of searching to actually find a topic about Silkroad, but that one topic had so many links for bots, it was unbelivable... how ever what i want to say is all other topics were for Maple Story, they have all possible hacks in that game...

I think that just one Mass Ban in Maple Story or Silkroad online is not enough to get rid of all the bots that are playing right now.

(if they would ban my character accidentally i would kill them

I agree that one mass banning won't help as much as most ppl want, but at least it's a sign that something is being done. I will say that on MS I did experience less hacking, so to some extent the banning was working, and its still an ongoing process on MS as daily, at least while I was still playing, a message would come up with a list of players who were banned(around 5 or more). Therefore, if SRO made one mass banning, then followed up w/ smaller-scales bans regularly, then everything might smoothen out. Also, JM will need to keep their security updated, so that they can recognize botters easily.

I have played ksro, I know there are bots in takla(I saw like 2), but its nothing like our sro >_>, pretty much all the other ppl I ever saw and talked to at least weren't afk, and didn't seem like they were botting at least, but still Ksro doesn't have near as many as isro.
