Hello,
I am currently a hybrid blader at lvl 72 and am quite happy with it. My goal is to build my character to look like this one
http://bobtheveg.dyndns.org/SRO/Char_Bu ... file=12375
With gear maxed STR/INT at lvl 80 it will raise my Phy Balence to 99% and the magical balence to 60%.
I will have gliave as a second weapon not just for the passive. So my goal masteries are blade 80, glaive 80, fire 70, lightenting 70.

Adding more magic damage will actually make you weaker.

Could you be more specific?

Adding some points to INT instead of adding them all to STR will do is this:
1. Increase the ammount of damage your imbue adds.
2. Decrease the amount of phy damage your attack with do.
3. Increase your Magical defence power.
4. Decrease your phy defense power
5. Increase your MP
6. Decrease your HP

So...if the amount of the magical damage increase is greater than the amount of physical damage decrease (which in my case it is) you will do more damage per hit.

You are aware the the current max lvl is 80 and that you can max your masteries to lvl 80 correct? Additionally, as a STR based character gets most of its damage from the physical attack it seems to make more sense to me to lvl the glaive tree to 80 as the 10% physical damage increase will be greater than the 10% increase of fire.

Given you lean more towards Str, you could do more physical damage than magical damage. Any Pure Str will have higher physical damage. What you gain from adding Int isn't worth what you could get by adding Str.

1. Decreases the damage you do overall.
2. It's a bad thing. Physical damage is one of the strengths of a Str build.
3. While Str builds do lack a lot of magical defense, it doesn't make it a good trade-off. In my opinion, it isn't worth what you can be gaining by just adding more Str (more HP to withstand nukes).
4. The more the merrier, I suppose.
5. Level up some force masteries for the passive, or add MP and Int to your gear. With the high physical defense, you can easily cut out cold to do so.
6. HP is the other strength of the build, without a lot of it Str builds would be at a large disadvantage.

OMG!!! The cap IS at 80 ....woot!!! I certainly didnt notice especially since I have been handgrinding my blader pass lvl 60 and my nuker pass lvl 70.

Tell me though where the skills lvl are?? Still 69 ....wooohoo!! Oh yeah, it has been that way for ksro, jsro for years. No one can say when we will be getting new skills.

Just because you can up your mastery to lvl 80 to match the current cap does not mean you get new skills past lvl 69.

No, you dont get new skills, but you do get more damage from having your mastery at lvl 80 as opposed to 70. The skills will come, and when they do, you will be prepared. And besides, i couldnt imagine grinding from 79-80 on a 10 gap

thanks for your replys but i'm not really adding too much int.. i just wanna add 45 points that would be 15 lvls.. coz i wanna make my char magical balance to 41% and leaving my phy balance 89%.. it will be like this.. as u can see my hp is still 14k and maybe i will get a bigger magical att.

durant wrote:1. Decreases the damage you do overall.

No over all damage will be increased provided that your mag balence is high enought to off set the loss of phy damage.
durant wrote:2. It's a bad thing. Physical damage is one of the strengths of a Str build.
Yes but as mentioned above this loss is offset by the increased imbue damage.
durant wrote:3. While Str builds do lack a lot of magical defense, it doesn't make it a good trade-off. In my opinion, it isn't worth what you can be gaining by just adding more Str (more HP to withstand nukes).
In my experience the loss of 2K hp is well offset by the increase of Mag Defence. And at 80 I will be happy with 13.6K naked (also not counting passive from Glaive tree)

@ others
I think you are wrong about it being a bad build. I agree that it can be very bad if
1. you add too much INT and lower your Phy balence too much (i.e. 1:1)
or
2. you dont add enought INT to actually make up for the phy damage loss. i.e. 3:1

Hybrid blade can be a fine and strong build, although it has recived much criticism (and clearly still does). Most of this is from people who have only played hybrid blade at low levels or have never played it at all.
Anyone who wants to prove me wrong on troy and has a lvl 72ish pm me in game. DigCowboy.

If you click the union tab on your chat window 13 times, then you get 2X the experience of having a 9 lvl gap.

hello this hybrid bladder or hybrid anything always interest me..from this game clearly we know that adding int will give more imbue dmg thus increasing overall dmg..

my question is:

1) what is a good balance for a str bladder..interms of physical dmg and magical dmg?..100%:60%?, 90%:70%, 90%:50%?

2) how do we calculated it?..

i know that mostly ppl will argue on the less hp, even the dmg is higher..but then i prefer to play this game with decent hp to survive..but more dmg..tq

hybrid blader is ridiculous. u can't even kill with hybrid s/s. ok, u hardly can be killed too in 1 on 1. as a blader u do less dam than a hybrid s/s, so how are u going to pwn? thats just ridiculous.

btw: if u guys really wanna compare builds, then take npc weapons and gears. that reflects the advantage of balances the best way.

That would be a fair comparison of the builds power naked.. but as most people do not use NPC gear it makes most sence to me to test with the gear that I actually will use. That way, I have a accurate representation of my characters strengths/weaknesses.
