SP FARMING/MASTERIES need opinions

ok i have heard from many people wat to do with farming but im a little confused

should i when i hit lvl 16 get me a SOX bow and go berserk on the bandit archers


or


keep playing the game normally but with a gap (if so tell me the gap)

either one, doesn't really matter, if u gap from 1-80 with a 4/5 gap alternating then u should be full farmed by time u hit 80. easier said then done.

If u can get a sos bow at 16 i say farm at den. if not then don't waste time there, i u don't have at least a sos+3/4 minimum u will be ksed like theres no tomorrow.

Neither.

Lvl 16 is the farming level.

I went pure int at lvl 16. I ksed the people with sox bow.

That bandit is total arse for farming sp, the gold you get is almost nothing, the drops aren't worth shit, you get ks'd, you have to share the spot with dozens of people and worst of all you have to delevel 3 levels every day which wastes god knows how much time.

I've been at penons for over 2 months now and there's hardly anyone ever there, the drops are all worth over 100k each, the average gold drop is over 350, since I stopped buying anything other than pots I now have tons of gold too.

Plus you can job if you want to, should the boredom of farming get you down, something else you can't do when your in that den stuck at lvl 16.

Either go 0 gap or 9 gap.
Nothing in between is good imo.
You don't get enough XP and the SP gain will be dissappointing.

As always try to farm at levels when you get a new degree weapon and if possible try buying a sos weapon and on mobs that you can kill fast and spawn fast.
The stronghold has one of the fastest spawnrates in the game.
With a good bow you can 1hit them with only an imbue.
The downside of stronghold farming is the constant deleveling that needs to be done.
EG when you turn 19 (iirc) the archers turn blue and you don't get decent SP anymore. thus you'll need to delevel back to lvl 16 and don't forget that your masteries don't exceed lvl 7.

I am still new to SRO and SRF but I am Lvl 2x and haven't been to the bandit stronghold at all yet. I have farmed an 8 level gap down to a 3 and moving back to a 5. I don't have a sox bow in fact I sold the one bow I had with a high crit and just stand in a group of black tigers/tigers/champions and grind until I need a break.

Drops are okay and gold is decent and since I am fighting as str glav and I have multi-target skillz - I can get a decent amount of xp/sp/gold in a couple of hours. In an hour, I can average about $25k gold and then another $20 from drops/element sales back in Jang. I did about 30% to next level and 120 sp (3 level gap)....remember I am only 2x.

Biggest thing you have to worry about is having a caravan come by when your grinding and an NPC thief pop you just because you happen to be the closest thing to his spawn point.

Is it my imagination or do I get the feeling everything (farming, sox, alchemy, builds, and all the forum flaming) ultimately is geared towards PVP? I must be too new to get it. I have no interest in PVP. To stand in a circle outside of a town gate and yell my sword is bigger than yours and then bash each other for what i can only guess would be braggin rights holds no interest for me......now that may be simply because the whole world of SRO is still out there for me to explore, mobs to see, quests to complete, wolves to raise, towns to visit, stones to make, junk to sell, uniques to fight, jobs to do, soxs to find and maybe when I am level 70 and have pretty much done it all, PVP will be all that's left. Dunno......guess I will just have to wait and see.

Lvl 16 is the farming level.

complete bs. lvl 16 is already to high to farm at stronghold. best to farm there is at lvl 8 or 10 with som/sosun lvl 8. that way u get AWESOME sp and u 1 hit mobs anyway.

but imo the best place to farm is at nachal room, last room to the right. the room has awesome spawn rate and a pure int char lvl 64 gets best sp there than anywhere else in the game. for pure str chars.. u wont survive that room till u hit 67-69 ...

the black_mamba quote is good also. what u need for farming is high spawn rate mobs (and not crowded like the bandits).
