Pure Ints With Garment
since i have never had a pure int bfore, i got a few questions....im wondering why i see a lot of ppl pure in with garms instead of prot or armor. i thought u needed lots of phys defence for int char? but instead everyones walking round wearing garments. why is this so?

Well Pure Ints where garment to avoid the one hit from a nuker when you are in armor/protector.
As long as you put Int, Str, and Parry Ratio on them and I think atleast +3 you should be fine against pure str.
You Also need to know that this game is NOT made to 1-1. It is for group battles.
Also It is great to have the mp recover an speed boost.

I'm rockin' protector on my pure int right now.. you can barely notice the change in mp consumption and it's always nice to have a little better phys. defense.
In case a couple mobs spawn near you and automatically aggro towards you.. a couple hits in garms and you could be dead before you know it.

Like i told you the first day, most people use garment cus u can run faster and if you are pure int the mobs you dealing with should not even touch you =P.

i mean pure int why the hell not go garms
if your ever 1 vs 1 against a pure str your dead anyway so use em for grinding and maybe get lucky and pvp against another nuker
even in armor int based builds are dead so really garms dont seem like to bad an idea...

What have you been smoking? @_@
Not all pure INTs get owned by pure STRs (Hate that assumption >,<) If you have good gear, know the weaknesses and strengths, and know how to use your char. then your build doesn't matter.
I'd suggest just to keep armor. If in garments and you get ganged, you're pretty much screwed as a pure INT unless you can really kill fast. Armor has the physical defense you need, so it's best to just keep them. You possibly could also keep a garment set for grinding on mobs to save some mp pots, or have them to PvP against other INT-based characters, but armor's best in the long run for pure INTs. Protectors are good also, they have a little less physical defense, but more magical defense than armor. It's your call though, if you have some friends with gear you could use, ask to borrow it and experiment with them and see which you like best.
Best of wishes! ^,^

We should stop treating people like objects, or at least treat our objects with more respect.

at low lvl only. when an int char reaches 6x-7x, it becomes a fair fight even for the strongest str chars if he has good str/int/stamina.
u choose ur defense.
a str char goes garment if he wanna survive against int char. he goes armor if he wants to tank 2 str char.
same goes for int chars. u go armor to survive the str but u may loose to int char. u go garment to tank 2 int char but u may loose str char.
same goes for int s/s or spear. with s/s u get less critted so its better against str char since they have deadly crit. with spear u kill fast of u die fast (and get crited a lot, bad against str imo).

At lower levels, probably prior to learning nukes, armour would be best. Then, after you learn your nukes, you should be able to 1-2 shot mobs and not be afraid of getting hit (you could get surrounded and die but garment speed boost should help with escape
). Plus, the 20% mp reduction is gonna save you on mp pots. At higher levels, you could always add STR to your gear to make up for low defense and hp.

Lol....You must be talking about ppl who wear NPC gear.
A full str glaive at 80 has Over 21k HP and with +5 gear, 685 def mag buff, X-large pots and vig grains no nuker will even scratch him. You are dreaming if you think an int char can kill a full str, or maybe your server doesnt have the alchemy update yet 0o.

I am a level 50 pure INT S/S and I have been using garmet since level 1, I use it for 2 basic reasons Faster movement and Less MP use and for one unbasic reason.... I like how it looks.
I use the cold buffs/passive, light parry buff + passive, buffed I have 302phy def and 2.2k life. At level 50 in garment vs Ujigi i take 300-500 dmg and tops I have noticed a 89x critical and can kill them in one nuke and 1 shout or one knockdown and one stab. For being in garmet and full INT I think I fair well vs PHY monster.
Anyone can wear whatever they want it all comes down to personal preference, it is YOUR character don't let what everyone else is doing or saying influence you.
