Scam Attempted twice in 5 Minutes (O.o)

Someone first asks "Hey wanna make your SOS into SOM" and then they say to join their party. Then they tell you to drop it and pick it up real quick. (Obvious scam)

But that's not my problem, people have tryed this on me twice in the PAST 5 MINUTES. TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE!!

Being an ex-runescaper i know a scam as a see a scam, but this is kinda out of control. There needs to be a way to report these guys >.<

Its something that you gotta get used to if you are using an sos weapon.

Oh just a few hours ago this guy was like, begging me for my sos spear and saying "can turn to som". I thought he was trying to scam me so I just played along. We made a deal and he traded 2 mil and a +3 glavie for the spear (it was lvl 24 and had crap stats). o.O

He walks off and says "thanks I change to som and make money"

5 minutes later he whispers me and says "WAAAA I GOT SCAMMED".

But how do they take item so fast that you cant get it? Is there someone hiding in bush with monkey or what?

no, its an item shared party, so when you pick up an item it'll go to the player after you in the party.

I hate thoses scams, to bad it never happened to me while I have sos weps on both my char =(

it's typically done with a throwaway character under level 20. There's no one to PK, no one to global against.

Scamming is a part of most games and sadly can't be reported (well you can report it but nothing will be done). If it happens to you its best to chock it up to experience and move on.

My guildies and I love messing with these tards. The other night my buddy had one going, the ol sos -> som trick. So the guy invites him to party but leaves it on item distribution.. yes most of them couldn't scam their way out of a paper bag.

Anyhow my buddy is telling about it on vent and we were all laughing about him not even getting the party right. So my friend plays along..

He dropped his item and picked it back up then messaged the guy 'WOW SOM!!' and the dude was just like 'realy? cool!'. Still being clueless as to where he went wrong.. 'if you do it again it will become sosun'... 'WOW SOSUN, thanks sooo much!!1'

Another would-be scammer mentally beat down by the onslaught crew.. ahh good times =]
