[ a few suggestions ]
just some food for thought: recently sro edited the glavie/spear skill & the shield skill to be able to use while u move around. my question is; why not the ice and fire wall skills as well? as they are pretty much useless as the others were. secondly, since there is a skill edit quest to reallocate skill points, why not a str/int reallocation quest? if the system could somehow remember how u distributed your str/int points it would be a great way to change your build and or/errors made while distributing these points. feedback on these topics encouraged and welcomed!

I like the idea, for example in a game i used to play, RYLII.
You would be able to buy these stones, which would allow you 2 Redistriubute 5 points. However your total points werent allowed to drop bellow a certain number.
So for example, it might only let you remove 2 points from INT instead of the 4 that you wanted... Dont ask me why this happend, i never really understood it
But yea, i completely agree that there should be a STR, INT relocation quest. However, maybe limits to be put on it

well...
i don't think it would ruin the game at all to implement str/int reallocation. i mean yea you could totally get to level 80 and switch from nuker to tanker; but so what it's your charcter and u worked hard at leveling, either way you earned your str/int points legitly so theyre yours. why not be able to reallocate them? just because someone who's a nuker changes to a tanker at the end shouldn't discourage the change just beacuse all the tankers would get jelous that it was easier for them to level and switch. after all who's to say full str'ers couldn't switch to full int to level up to a high level then switch back to full str. it works both ways. jelous level 80 tankers chose the build they have themselves, so that is that in my opinion. basically from the day the implemented this idea it would be easier to reach level 80 for everyone, which isn't a bad thing right?

I mean that after a lot of str/int relocation, you'll lose a lot of stat points like changing your skill points (20)%. The difference of these points are the stat point you can gain is limited, but the skill points aren't.
So when we change our stat points, some of our stat points will be lost. So after a while there won't be much stat point remainig.
I have another suggestion : After spending stat points, we cannot change them. My idea is that if we could change our stat points when we level down, we can decide what to put for stat points.
This won't solve the problem much, but it will prevent putting 3 stat points wrongly.
By the way, I didn't said it was going to ruin the game, I said it's not a good idea.

i'm sure if they did implement my idea they would make it so that no points would be lost. although i don't really get ur arguement on how stat points would be lost, (just beacuse you lose 20% of skill points when reallocating them doesn't mean they would have to make it so the amount of reimplemented stat points would be lower than what u earned). i'm pretty sure JM devs would make everything run smoothly and correctly without any problems. =]

as...
as key-j said they should make it so not all points could be redistributed just some. the people who know about great builds like int hybrid and full strength bladers would already be those builds anyway, regardless of reallocating str/int stats, right?

It would have a limit like RYL II. See Below.

HOW TO RE-ASSIGNS YOUR STATS?
Building a hybrid-mode character is the most reason players want to re-assigning their stats. but for a newbie, doing re-assigning are mostly because they have put their bonus points into a stat that they are not really needs for their class..
STEP 1
To re-assing stats you will need a Chaos Stone and golds.
Get the above items in your inventory. Each Chaos stone can be used for 1 session of stats assigning only and each session you only can re-assign 2 stats points (main stat) or 4 stat points (not main stat).
The golds needed is = Your Level x 10,000 golds.
STEP 2
Find the Adventurer Trainer for Kartefant (Human) or Beginner Trainer for Merkhadian (Ak'kan) in town.
[SHIFT] + [LEFT-CLICK] their name and choose [Reassigning Stat Points] from the menulist appear.
STEP 3
If you have all the items needed as stated in STEP 1, the stat re-assigning window will appear. Use the [+] and [-] button to re-assign the stat as you wish.
When you all done, click [OK]. Need to mention any skills that you have learned will be deleted if you reducing the stats that the skill needs.
----
I think it would be a good idea to have something like this.. It of course wouldnt be the same, but the concept is still there.

Well, I remember them saying in a Q&A a long time ago they were planning on implementing a way of changing stat points like skill points.
I think it's a bad idea though. THe only thing in the game that actually requires plannning or strategy would get pwned.
I think that if there really is to be a way to change skills, make it a quest taht you do at level XX, and you can only do it once. THat way it isn't repeatable, or if you change you can't change back etc...
But I think it's a bad idea regardless.

Then I agree with you... Also I would need that. I wanted to be a pure int, but I already spend a lot of stat points for str
I wish that could happen.

thanks
thanks aviator. i just don't get why other people think it's such a bad idea. they have no viable arguement in opposing the change in my opinion. in the earlier post someone mentioned that starategy and planning would be messed up. on the contrary we have to plan out our skill build and we can reallocate those points; but we don't see people changing from glavie user to blade user later in the game for example. also what about noobs who haven't read up on builds and just jump right into the game like most of us all do? they have no idea about planning a good charcter build. they create their builds ignorantly only to find out later they've distributed their points to make a disappointing character all in vein and non-reversable. planning and strategizing without knowing what you're truly doing when making your build is a hit or miss thing. either u know or you don't know how to properly allocate str/int points. but don't hold it against someone who didn't know what they were doing and want a pure charcter but can't have one because of a couple ignorantly implemented points. i don't want this change to happen so people can switch from pure int to pure str or what have you; just for a certain alloted amount of redistributable str/int points is all. ones that shouldn't effect the overall gameplay for evryone one bit. i think my idea is a good one that in the end would have no bad reprecusions for anyone whatsoever. but then again, that's just me.
