What's the point of getting 2 imbues?
I see people with two imbues while farming or something. Why?
ice is nice sometimes if your fighting red or orange mobs and lightning lets you do the most dmg with parry reduces but for pvp its fire because of pills but pve is lightning ice ... fire is just burn in pve which doesnt help too much
Lightning is also good for its splash dmg not alot at lower levels but at 65+ its about 300 dmg i believe just on splash

Imbue really all depends in which type of fighting you are... Ice is a deffensive type imbue fire is offensive and lightning is just something gms had to do ..i guess hybrid lol... soo if you dont wanna think about how your gonna grind go fire if you wanna be strategic in where you start attaking and luring mobs freezing em and taking on a larger stronger mob go ice if you wanna do both go lightning since lightning has splash

It costs extra SP is the only real reason.
It's better to level up faster with the one imbue that your main skill tree is using and get a 2nd one later on. I.e. if you are 0 gapping an Int up, you will only get the Lit tree and use lit imbue, although eventually you'll get fire imbue and fire tree.

im a nuker, i have 3 imbues
1st reason is "target specific"
ice for red mobs or when mobbed by orange/red giant/champs
light for high-hp single giant, strong mobs
fire when you feel like it
2nd reason is "anti-boredom"
light when you get tired of hearing the ice imbue sound
fire when you get tired of hearing the light imbue sound also
ice when you get tired of hearing the fire imbue sound too
3rd reason is "old school pvp (ice)"
for people who just emptied their pills / or has none / or forgot
for people who just don't get cold immunity
4th reason is "funny screens"
ice imbue when fighting giants, real nice freezing poses for fun
5th reason is "trade runs"
in Athens, i noticed Anthony_HOP (famous for being an all-day hunter escort) using ice imbue as a trade caravan (very many ox's) nuker escort, i tried runs with each imbue. ICE is the best for trade runs against NPC thieves, try it yourself so you'll know why. (Lv5 ice mastery + book1 Lv1 ice imbue is so cheap to curst anyway)

Fire imbue = best damage for nuking.
Lightning imbue = best aggro for hunting trade runs.
Cold imbue = best disable for PvP or very difficult PvE situations.
Only one really needs to be maxed, and that's fire. If you want to use lightning for a little extra aggro power when hunting for multistars, it doesn't need to be maxed, but you do need enough damage to steal the initial aggro, which varies with NPC thief's level. I use basic level 1 ice imbue against anything that is not ice-immune that I am afraid will kill me; red giants, sometimes champion thieves, ice thieves when I'm not immune, players that can kill me. Ice imbue is also great support for someone else in PvP, as you slow or cancel their opponent's attacks without your friend having to waste time on frost nova.

LOL
Personally I use fire all the way around. The burn can do damage so that if a mob just has a little health left you can move to the next and let the burn finish it off (Or your wolf if you have one.).
