Sry for posting in the wrong section but i posted it in tech help before and didnt get help. And i know that there is ppl who know this stuff:
OK, i get dced about 2 times / hour. It doesnt matter if i play during peek times or if im located in the city or w/e.
But suddenly i get a gap in my connection for like 2 secs. So i get dced but my char still stands in game. So when i get dced while lvling im usually dead when i log back on cuz mobs are atking me and pots doesnt work. And when i try to log on fast after gettin dced i get the msg that someone is playing on my acc. (=my char didnt dc.) And i only get these gaps in my conn when i play sro.
I started getting this problem some weeks ago when i bought a router.
My guildmate had the same problem but he bought a new router (worth 100$) and then the problem dissappeared.
So, what i wanna know is:
Do anyone have the same problem?
Where is the problem? Sro? Router? Connection?
What can i do to make it work cept buying an expensive router?

I feel ur pain Man , i also suffered from Dc deaths
1- i think Router has to do with it
2- ISP( internet connection )
and honestly i get Dced also for No apparent reason no lag , no internet Distruption just plain Dc like joymax boots me out of the server
nd character still stays there gettin banged while u Dced pots dont work ither and b4 u log back in bamm u DEAD
The best solution to this is that once u get Disconnected from server ur char shuldnt be loged on still, like i said it might me ur Router coz if u look at it when u Get Dced u dont send any packet to ur ISP confirming ur Dc meanwhile ur ISP is still connecting u to SRo and it takes a while b4 it recognises that u got disconnected

nope. but i know that if 80 percent of the people who have lag problems would just upgrade to a halfway decent computer they wouldnt have nearly as many problems...

at my house i had 4 computers setup to play sro. 3 of them were mine, and 1 was my father's boss'.
my 3 computers are all alright, but not that great, and they all had a bit of lag, especially in town.
however, my dad's boss' computer that i was installing windows on and setting up for him NEVER LAGGED AT ALL. Given the pc was a ..... monster that cost over 4 grand, but with this computer, i could RUN through DW and get NO LAG AT ALL...
so i can almost guarantee that 80% or more of the people with lag problems have lag because their pcs are crap.
