How to show 9th degree equip ingame?

i'll just wait for you or someone else to make a full guide, easily understandable for noobs like myself pre-made codes for 8th degree to show like 9th degree ingame is probably what the majority needs right now :p

i can figure out most of the stuff, but i'm not that much into editing software so i'll leave it at that. but still a thumbs up for handing out the info Cruor

Actually, the first column is hexadecimal offsets but that doesn't matter. You need to make sure you do your search for the string in Unicode. If you do it in Hexadecimal or ANSI mode you will not find the right entries.

Yeah, Joymax updated the itemdata.txt with this last update. Every time they do that, you will loose your changes.

No, I seriously do not think this will get you banned. Honestly, not even the file size of the PK2 files is checked. If you have the Blowfish S-boxes and key that were used to encrypt the file index of the PK2 archive, you could easily inject some of your own resources into the file with no problems. The worst thing that will happen to you from doing this is the game will not start up because your PK2 files are corrupt.

First u need is to get XVI32 newest version if possible

then make a backup of ure media.pk2 make a new folder where u put everything in so then u open the media.pk2 thats in the silkroad folder ( not the backuped one!) and go to SEARCH and then REPLACE now u need to put a "ok" or w/e its called on Text string,as Unicode Latin in the first box and in the 2nd where stands Replace with u need to do the same at the corner right there stands Begin or Custom mark begin so no u just type in the first \blade_08 and in the 2nd box where stands repalce with \blade_09


\blade_xx = blade <--- xx is the degree like 01,02,03etc

I'm not sure there even is a code for jewelry because jewelry isn't even visible from what I've seen. I don't think there are even textures or models for them.

thank your for all the info, I got it to work, but seems i am the only one who is able to see it. Other player still only see im holding a regluar weapon.

But i have seem other player holding a 9th deg weapon on ISRO, how can they can make other people see it, and I can't?

Those players that you see holding 9th degree weapons are doing so because you made the changes. Those players did not do any modifications, and are not even aware that you changed anything.

When you change textures and models (like 5th degree to 9th degree) you are doing it for all characters that you see, not just for your own character. So, yes every person on the server that has the same degree item you have will appear to be holding whatever degree you change it to.

But the reason I started to research about holding 9th deg, becuase I have seems it in game someone holding a 9th before I made changes to my pk2 file. That was more than a week ago, the first time i made the changes was 2 days ago.

That's interesting. I've never heard of anyone being able to make these changes so others can see them. I have no idea how they would do that.

If people really can make it so others can see changes, then I could have Tiger Girl follow me around (instead of my wolf) and people would turn purple trying to attack her
