hehe anh the reason why mandarin sounds better is because its not just a regional dialect its the standard form of chinese only reason why u hear peebz speaking cantonese is cuz its easier for people in hong kong to move overseas than mainland ppl

yes, it is indeed interesting (and aggravating) to see westerners think that cantonese and mandarin are at the same lvl when in fact they are not. they treat cantonese like a complete different language from mandarin (just like french and english) even though in reality cantonese is nothing more than a regional dialect (much like the southern Texas accent).
anyone have any piggy jokes?

That's not how my Cantonese-speaking friend explained it to me. Don't blame "westerners" for being told two different stories.

@Key-J: You're right! I really can't eat it. It's so cute!
@CrimsonKnight: Well the problem is that the body is kinda heavy, so I don't think it'd ever be able to stand up lol. Let's say it's laying down and you can't see its legs, hee hee!

I love steamed red bean buns. I don't know if those are a type of bapao or some other bun. But I love them anyway.

In two hours and 42 mins, I'll will have "Giao Thua" when the clock strikes midnight. I don't know what's the equivalent term in Chinese.
But yeah, us Asian Americans get it last.
Sweet souce!!!
