Why do you even want to kill (or hurt) people if there's an apocalypse? I know you're not serious and didn't put much thought into this but what does it accomplish? I don't get it. Do random people make your live miserable? If you go after someone that did wrong upon you then I get it (though I can't say it's a fair payback). But to kill just to watch?
I don't know. I read this article about how people think differently as they age. It says that younger people (ie. teenagers) doesn't consider the effects of their actions on the people around them (physially and mentally) as much as older people.
I guess I'm just old.
Just wonder

You're not old, I was like that my whole life and I'm going to be like that until I die, but if I wanted to do something extreme I would apparently do something I would never do under normal circumstances. (did I just repeat myself

Gandalf the average person is kind of stupid. You simply aren't one of those average people. You actually think and meditate on things often, right? Yeah, not everybody does that, especially at a young age. They just don't think clearly or out of their own little box.
You'd also be surprised at how many people never grow out of that little box, up until the day they die as an old fart.
Twysta I shoulda thought of that. Pop a bunch of E or MDMA pills and rave until you drop dead.

Well to be rich and live lavishly and financially independant for as long as possible.
I used to think: I could work my ass off to be rich and successful, but would it be worth all of the lost time I could have spent travelling, taking drugs and meeting all kinds of interesting new people, and just plain not having to work my ass off for 40 years of my life? And my answer was no. But now it is a definite YES.
Funny how we change.
I at one time said I would never smoke a cigarette. I ended up smoking almost a pack a day for two years.
I at one time said I would never try cocaine. I've done it on like 8 different occasions, and some of those occasions I took WAY too much.
There are probably other things like that as well.

You're right. Materials don't bring happiness (well depend on how you define happiness, for example, shopping gives pleasure for a few hours). Therefore, You should spend your life doing the things that make you happy.
Thing is, what makes us happy today doesn't necessarily make us happy the following day. For instance, drugs, alcohol (and other stuff) make you feel heavenly for a short time but then you'll sink like a shack of potato. You meet this amazing girl that you really like and you feel happy when she's around. But if things don't go well, you'll feel crushed.
The point is, happiness could be very short and it's an illusion most of the time. What you think will bring you happiness most of the time don't. So sometimes you need to back away, cool down and think about what you're doing really will make you happy in the long run.
LOL I just realize I'm repeating chocobo.
