how easy it is to stop botters?

before u go with ur shit just listen first, its not another whine thread about botters....

i was just going to my grind spot at the same time some botter were going in the same direction, its so easy to catch em just by standing at their checkpoints, i dont even think JM need to place a real human to monitor these checkpoints, just write a script ingame that monitors 1 checkpoint (X: 1234 Y: 1234) and triggers everytime some1 passes by it (ye i know u gonna say what if some1 accidently goes by, so make 3 monitored checkpoints which have to be triggered one by one in order to make an alarm!!)

that way it auto filters only the high lvl botters, and guarantees 80% of them not coming back, since they wasted so prolly lotsa time and money to it.

i mean how hard it is for Joymax to buy srobot and see its behavior then go against it, i mean even if srobot changes its checkpoints JM will know about it cuz they have subscription to it!!

i cant believe that some 8 years old FPS games have more security against cheating than a well new major game like SRO.

any thoughts or suggestion (if its been suggested alrdy) what JM thoughts about it? if not mayb we can contact morningdew to get smt worked out, im sure lots of ppl from this community has some script knowledge and will volunteer to write smt if JM gives em enuff room..

He's right tho, its so easy banning them.. the big question will always be;

When will they finally ban them

One of these things are going on now

1) They don't ban them because the high lvl player bots buy silk. JM is a company, they want to make money. Also explains why they only ban goldbots mostly.
2) They are simply busy and they really are working their guts apart.

Bots might be wrong, but JM will think twice before banning all the bots. Just cause the point that gets pointed out everytime. If you ban all the botters a lot of people will quit the game.

I am not saying all of them, cause sure there are plenty of legit players. But face the fact that 50% or maybe more uses the bot right now or has botted in the past. Losing 50% of the people that play youre game and buy silk, is something to think about twice. How stupid it sound towards the legit players..

im really a newcommer to mmorpg but what about WoW does it also have botting like in sro? i really doubt it and they have much more players than sro.

i doubt more botters buy silk than normal players, the reasonable thing would be thinking botters dont have to waste time on grinding thus disabling of the possibilty to buy GT, most of em turn to the darkside so i pressume they also know how to CCF and could do it till now, i actually think more legit ppl use silk.

i know i buy silk together with the rest of the 20+ ppl in my guild which are all legit. and i was in botters guild before i knew whats going on in this game and i think like 30% of em actually told me they use GT and stuff.

Is sro really supported by the botters majority? doesnt this game has enuff ppl playing to be able to give SRO team enuff paycheck each month to live without botters?

I would say most people are nice once you learn to to know them.

But that doesn't take away the fact that they cheat. We all know botters have so much more advantages then the normal player. But why doesn't everyone decides to bot then? I mean, it is there easy to use for a pretty low cost. Some are even free. Think about that for a second or two. Then maybe you wouldn't start attacking every thread about botters.

meh that solution is flawed since scripts for autorun can easily be changed. If you really want to stop botting then everyone have to cooperate not only JM because they cant do everything no company can actually. face it bots will be here forever along with other hacks. Be happy that our main problem is only bots and not some major hacking so far Ive only heard of zoomhack and bots.

Ok the person who created this topic..not as smart as me. Heres a better way.

Make a confirmation box that u have to press OK after around 3 hours in game. And If you dont press it, u will get kicked (NOT BAN). Therefore botters, are usually afk for along time and if they dont press OK they will be kick. This goes the same for AFK stallers. Less botters and less stallers = happy faces no server traffic.

Btw this has nothiing to do with the topic, but every1 in alps should see darkdivion get woop by jianhu. Teiuly(with sosun swordlvl64 and shield) killed Huanztin( the sosun scammer). Lmao and lilkhmer and Tuzhi tried to 2 v 1 him and still lost and then eclipsed came in and die one nuke. Go Elite.

u miss the point of what bots can do and by ur suggestion u make legit players even more miserable. lets say they do your 3 hr thing... well they can just write a script that will click on or press enter whenever that popup comes (just in case theres a variation in time delay)... as for stallers JM has already stated that stalling doesnt eat up bandwidth and not to mention making everyone else poorer. I myself rely on afk stalling when i sell elements or w/e since NOT EVERYTHING SELLS IMMEDIATELY.

ok woops, forget that pressing the ok thing. Instaed of a box opening up and press ok, they should make u enter a confirrmantion code just like when you first log into the server. The lettrs/ and numbers willl be random. Sry for grammer i could care less.

that would most likely make the servers even more laggier... imaggine a buttload of confirmation codes opening up thousands of ppl and most likely at the same time

@Twysta You now game is not real life if you think so, you dont go out and try to hit someone or you do? Is wrong but it is a game i dont say i do but you can find cheats to olmost all games out there . But Dont take so big about it. And the game makers i think the are illegal to on some way.
