Sure they'll get the goods, but where's the fun on the trading side when you know you're going to die? At least you have some shot at survival doing a 1*. And traders look at it this way...if I get killed doing a 1*, what's going to make it even better going multi?

The thing is, when you go out on a trade run, especially at a higher level (you have more experience in the game in general) you should be well aware of ALL the dangers trading has to offer. If a lvl 52 player wanted to do a trade run, why even attempt it solo? I don't mean necessarily have hunters, but it does help... have guild mates or friends check things out ahead of you, especially near ferries and tell you if it's safe to go through. They can even use various distraction techniques against the thieves. Yes there are lvl 70 thieves of course that are just waiting to rob that lvl 52, but if the lvl 52 is smart about it, he can avoid the high lvl thief altogether.
In the real silkroad trade routes, do you think a trader would just buy a bunch of goods, strap them on her camel, and go out into the world all alone, essentially blind of what lies ahead? Especially if the goods have any value, you'd want some form of protection.
Black_Mamba wrote:lol I'd do a 1 star at 80 if I was bored enough, after grinding a 180 or even a 360 in a place where you've had to ks bots for 8 hours then a quick couple of 1 stars is a nice way to have a laugh. You can stop and talk to the low lvls, laugh as your ass off when a 64+ tries to pop you, yes it happens. Your stood there in a full 8th degree garment trading and they come up and try and pop you with an ox lmao!
Their reaction is priceless when you 1 shot all 5 of their nub thieves with a meteor or even funnier when they put their trade vehicle in front and you pull a 180 turn and pop them instead.

lol, love that term, monetary returns, hehe...
i want to do multistars too, but it doesn't work very well when im the highest lvl in my guild and im only lvl32oh and the highest lvl in my union is 45, lol.
every time i do a 1 star i get popped left and right, so i've decided never trade again. i'd rather spend my time with those lovely flowers.

1 level 70 > 2 (maybe 3) level 50s. and this is why the job system needs level restrictions.
and lets say you have a level 7x theif at each ferry. what are you going to do?

seriously you are sloooow, i obviously cant take down high lvls at 40, my point was i was getting bored with all one stars going by, more multi*s meens more thieves, so more action, if a high lvl goes by other higher lvl thieves will go after him, also there are often lower lvls accompanying high lvls, and the last qoute was reffering to to 52+s doing 1*s.

Perhaps another thing you could do. If you have a thief friend, give him your loot until he gets past the thief, then he can give it back to you. The 7x thief can't attack your friend, unless he wants to be murderer. There's plenty of ways to get past that thief if you use your imagination.

PR0METHEUS wrote:Well it's worth a shot to get over the ferry. If you give your thief friend your loot before the 7x thief sees either of you, why would he call his hunter friend? Or are high lvl thieves in the practice of robbing other thieves?
To him, it's just another thief that's out doing his thing.
