Too many people say post count doesn't matter when what they REALLY mean is that post count WOULD matter if not for [insert people they don't like]. No. Post count does not and should not matter. I have never had someone tell me in a thread or a PM that they like or respect me because of my post count. I will never put my post count on a resume or use it to pick up women. And I will never sit hugging my knees and biting my fingernails neurotically while plotting the destruction of KewlGuy99 because he has a post count he doesn't "deserve".

I personally don't care about post counts. I know who I like and don't like and I know who contributes and spams. New and/or inexperienced members don't. Generally, when you sign up for a forum you assume the people with high post counts are the knowledge vaults, and thus you take their word more seriously than someone with a low post count.
In the end, all those forum spam games are for is a post count boost. Seriously, how "fun" are they? Not fun at all. If the people who raved post count doesn't matter really thought it did not matter, they would not post in it 10 times a day for months.

Postcount certainly does NOT count. For me (and I think for most of us) people gain respect by having contributed to the forums. (a good guide or helped a lot / informational posts)
But yes it has helped that we have a more active team that keeps the forums clean of all the 'not' wanted things like spambots and offensive posts.

WHy does everyone care so much about OTL?
I dont think Ive posted there more than a couple of times... I dont even look in it. Why do I care what happens in there? The GD forum is where all the SRO talk is. Ive always thought OTL is kinda where the kids hang out. lol

Over the weekend my grandfather was hospitalized, and passed away.
Its nice to know that while I stepped away for a bit, the uber mods we have kicked ass.
On that note:
If your preaching and singing about bots, you will be banned from the forum.
If you post links from tubgirl, you will definitely be banned.
Now, make a ghost account and a new post, whining and crying how you were banned and what a jerk I am.
We will ban dat too. Super mods to the rescue.
