Everything costs money, lots of it.
Cars, a house, maintence on both, recreation (like vacations), a good PC, food, and more.
If you have kids its even harder. your life is not your own, it's theirs. You will eventually appreciate all that your parents have done for you. Sucks but its true.

I can only expect it to become better after High School, college is da shiznit and the job I hope to become also is.
I like my job. It's fucken awesome.
But woking 8+ hours a day, 5 days a week is not. If I didn't make so much god damned money, it wouldn't be worth it, even for how much fun I have doing it.
Peace.

it all depends on the job and whether or not u like it or not. i have a friend's father who used to be a head of airport security or something, he had his own office with computer and not much to do. so he played RA2 all day.
now if u compare that with highschool: in highschool u have homework, tests, projects, report cards, no income. (if u want income u have to work extra in some other places)

That's something im not looking forward to because i enjoy high school. My classes are pretty easy plus i got 3-4 hours of pure socializing time because i got a life management class then an open before lunch (extended lunch) and a student service class that i don't do anything in in the first place. Only thing that sucks is this semester i have to wake up early for a web page production class that we usually dont do anything in.

This year I have a sweet semester:
History (1492-1991)
Economics (Political Economy)
Geography (Environmental and Human)
French (Not "french for beginners" but an actual french class)
And next year i'm going into an Environmental and Business studies program at university ^^
As everyone else, I used to bitch and whine about school not being "cool". But after schoolage, I've come to realize that no matter how to stretch it out, everyone will work alot during their lives and the more work I put into my education, the less work i'll have to do until I retire.
Oh, and I've never had a spare, I have like 4 extra credits and ALOT of extra community service.

I'm a Junior, I have Chemistry Honors (pain in the ass teacher), Algebra II easy as hell, English III (the teacher at my class is horrible at what she gives out the material),and then I go to a vocational school which I learn Airframe Structures for the rest of the school day. The missing credits I make up for nightschool. My gpa is at 3.350, I used to remember my gpa was at 2.3 in freshman lol xD, I hope to get a 3.49 or 3.5 by the end of my junior year
