Bump for you ryoko...i really feel like your slacking with your forum now fil these mod positions and sort it out before we go Tavern
Characters and Skills
A nack for talent in building characters and knowledge about skills. You give the best advice you can, but understand people still want to do things their own way. Stickied guides should have uniform, organized titles even if you have to edit them. You can spot a good guide among the average posts, and don't mind helping keep this forum organized.
Guides and Tutorials
Your a neat freak. Good content must be organized, stickied and updated. Quest guides and other materials should be updated as new information is found. I know of at least 2 or 3 posts that need a sticky already. Titles should be organized and proper, even if you have to edit them. This forum needs an incredible amount of love.

Yeah same here I'm still applying for Characters & Skills and I'd like to point out that I not only can give good advice to people looking for guides, but I also enjoy giving advice.
But hey, if I'm not picked I can live with it (pretty easily), cuz life goes on lol.

McCain, he (Barack Obama) said, will soon "be accusing me of being a secret communist because I shared my toys in kindergarten."

I...my names Rimmer.... (Character name only, not my real name) and I think these forums are very nice, been in the official SRO forums and SRF are a breath of fresh air for me.
I love its layout and friendly community. I have seen and read your rules and I think they are perfect for a community as diverse as the SRF community.
I have been playing this game for over 1 1/2 years now and believe that within that time I have acquired enough information and knowledge to help others...something that I already do. On the Silkroadonline.net forums I have around 900+ posts and almost 800 of them are of me helping people with their problems and game related issues.
I also try to maintain a form of neutrality when I post, giving an honest opinion Which helps maintain my sense of fairness and unbias towards others. Which some may not take to kindly to thinking that I am “taking sides”…but I try to solve the problem, not decided who is right or wrong. I do not flame or insult people as I feel that it dimines myself as well as those I would be insulting. If someone has a problem with me I try to deal with it in a rational and clam way
I WANT TO BE A MOD...lol I really do.
Am kind, caring and a gentle lover (lol joke). But I think I can deal with people well and I do know quite a bit about this game and I like to help people. But even if I am no selected then I understand, and will carry on to help people in my own way
.
If was to become a moderator then I would be able to monitor the forums at 8pm to 10pm weeknights (UK time), also on weekends as well. I think I would be best suited in the Characters and Skills forum or the Guides and Tutorials ...lol in fact to tell the truth I don’t mind which forum I would be the moderator for...just as long as I help people and become part of the SRF mod team.

Lots of people express interest in OTL.
Some over PM too.
But actually, someone volunteered for OTL on "05 Jan 2007 04:14 pm"
That is the date/time I posted it in the administrator forum.
For all to discuss.
You might think it unfair. Or we just 'pick people we like'. But in review
-Someone volunteered
-I posted it in the administrator forum
-Everyone said yes.
Has been some delays in the process (dragging feet) but all the same.

Not entirely.
Whenever someone posts about it, or PMs me, I post about it in the administration forum.
There it is discussed. Its not entirely 'first come first serve'.
The process itself, I always seem to drag my feet for unreasonable amounts of time. The biggest reason is because I am weary of putting anyone in a position of power that A) Affects the overall image of SRF B) giving people power to delete anything on the board and C) worry about how they address other people.
In this particular case, there were some RL issues and I did wait a bit.

Administrative forum. For administrators and Mods only.
N Rim, no we do not just choose our "Friends", it takes time for us to disscuss, go back through the persons post history, and look at how they react in the forums. To certain situations. Not everyone who comes to SRF, comes with the main idea "Oooo I WnAt! Be MOderAtor!!!" like some i know.
For example, me. I came here simply with the intent to post a guide, i got sucked into this great community, and when the community, which had given so much to me, asked for something in return, i volunteered. N after much disscussion, it turned out i was best suited for the possition.
So believe me, in no way is it us picking our friends, or the people who we think are cool. Its those who we believe are best suited for the possition. Remember, Ryoko giving someone MOD powers, well thats a risk for him 2. Cuz who knows if this person will turn on the forums. So we are carefull of who we choose, and decide on the best person for the job.
Remember, You understand you may not be picked.
Repeat that line again ^
When you posted ur application, you aknowledged and answered that line again. Thus posing this, opposition is not exactly dignified on your part.
