Help on deciding wether to go with STR or INT

I'm wondering about it, since I'm not sure which would be better. I'm going with Spear/Glavie, and Fire/Lightning for elements. I want to have some survivability in both PvP and PvE, and still be able to dish out reliable damage. I like Lightning as an element, and I want to be able to use it effectively. (As in, I want to use it to attack, even if Fire is going to be my main) I'd go with INT and make a nuker, but will that have negative effects to my survivability?

My highest current character is only level 14, but I'll have some support for starting off, and I'm going to farm SP.

well for best survivability I'd say str since it's quite good in pvp and in pve, INT only rules pve and will get tricky later on ( 40 ++ ) .

If you want a pure nuker, go for sword+shield build with full int. They dont have alot of health but because of the shield they have better chance of surviving pvp/pve compare to spear. Not saying that spear is a bad idea but shield is just better if you want pure nuke. Also use armor for this build.

However, if you really want to be a tank and still able to do good damage, make a pure str. fire/glaive.

A pure str can take a load of damage before getting killed. My friend level 56 pure str was fighting a level 60 and another 52+. The fight lasted at least two minutes, he eventually killed the 52+ but he couldn't finish off the 60. Another guy came in and helped the level 60 finish off my friend.

In pvp pure str is the way to go. With pure int you won't last more than three or four hits of someone at or higher than your level.



In pve pure int will level much faster though.

Will going 1:2 for a short while screw anything up badly, or help? And how useful will I be in PvP as pure INT? I wouldn't live very long, but would I still be able to take anything out?

at all the weapon lvls 32,35,38,42,45,48 etc int seems to have an advantage then loses the advantages as the armors come in between those lvls

pure int and str seems to own all hybrids in pvp

Okay, so lets say that I'll go pure STR, how high should I get each mastery, and what Heuksal/Fire/Lightning skills should I max? (I'm going to use either a Spear or a Glavie, I don't like swords/blades)

Just think about it, someone with ~10k hp vs someone with ~3k hp. I highly doubt the peron with 3k hp will hit hard enough to kill the 10k before he reaches the pure int.

Most pure nukers are Fire/lightning not ice. I don't want some guy coming in saying "but so and so is a puke nuke and uses ice!" I said most. Anyway, let's imagine that the nuker does have ice. Now with autopot ice is n't more than just an annoyance now. It is automatically cancelled out by your autopot (assuming your delay is off). During the time that the nuker launches the ice attack, he could of been using one of his nukes. So it's a wasted round for both the str and nuker so it breaks even. Also factor in the stun factor if the str is glavie, and blocking from the shield and knockdown if he is a blade. Seriously, pure int has no chance in a fair one on one fight vs. a pure str. Only way I could picture a pure int winning, is if he caught the str user off guard and got in 2-3 nukes before the hand to hand fighting started (or if the str is lagging)

At low levels its pure euphoria going pure intelligence, but i know it will be shortlived.

ITs almost too good to be true to be able to smack something once and watch its lifeless body flop to the ground in a million shattered, lightning-sundered pieces.

Anyway, if you plan on playing the game beyond the first 30 or so levels i agree with Stallowned, definately go pure strength. I am making a Blade/Fire character myself, and i hope i will be pleased with my results.

duno what you're talking about nuke vs glaive..

i've beaten every single glaive user in pvp that I have met (them being =\- 2 levels) of me.

In a true PvP fight, they would start off at a distance and the nuker would be able to get off at least 2 attacks (3 or 4 if theyre smarte) before the glaiver got to hit them. Even if the glaiver users the dragon flow, against most nukers wearing armor, it wouldn't 1 shot them, especially if the nuker was a spear user.

Another thing, the passive Heuksal skill inreases HP, will that help as a nuker?

also... 10k HP is ridiculous, its more like 7500\3700

yea those come from experience im nearly always pvping
i find that at the weapon lvls the pure str cannot pot all the nuke dmg fast enough while the pure int can unless a 1hit kill crit comes in
i pvp with either all pots/pill or no pots/pills at all

at lvl 48 recently i just dueled many pure str glaives and blades
the glaive stood pretty much no chance unless he 1hit crits with sst
or maybe his gear wasnt that good but im not using any sos either
the blader was harder since if i cant get 3consecutive nukes without him blocking he just pots back to full and 1kd crit+stab and im dead pretty much depends on luck
at lvl 48 i have about 1.8k hp 5k mana while pure str has 6k hp 2k mana
glaive sst hits me for 1.2k,blade kd me for 700dmg and my book2 fire hits for 2.5k-3k on full garment same lvl
