OPINIONS PLZ!! Armor or Protector for INT user

I am a INT char, 96% Mag 63% Phy. I use a Sword and Shield and my question is should i use armor since i have a high mag def as it is. Or Stay with Protector to get the best of both worlds??

I ask this because in PvP it seems if i go against a STR Blade or Glaive they hit me once or twice and im gone, especially if they crit. I am 75+ and it bothers me a bit being im powerful enough to nuke the STR char but to no avail

i think protector since you will do good def in both but armor is more physical. But remember, you will also probly fight other nukers as well

Protector is very good, 1 vote for protector .
Anyway I always use garments, protectors or armors.... they burn MP like hell, and slow you down.

i am pure int and testin out protectors and i like it so far.

tankin str better if want to vs an int just cast fan storm

but if u are a s/s maybe u should wear garment and cast the phy d shield buff

hmm ok, so Hybrids use protectors and since i am NOT a hybrid i should go armor hmm interesting. I was only asking because i have a ton of MP 17k and only 8200 HP. I just like to last longer to be able to fight a STR char.

Whatever u like in PVE.

kd and stab a lot, and wear armor.

my full int ss nuker wears armor shoulder, feet, hands, and head, and protector chest and legs. seems to work well. you could give that a try. (although you will lose the advantages of protector) but whatever.

sounds hybrid. Or you have 0 int on your gear and a ton of str if you are pure..

Just depends who/what you're fighting.

yeah i have alot of STR on my gear, but my belief is that pure, i mean all your points into STR and INT from the beginning isnt possable. You will have to eventually put points in something other than STR or INT. You need HPs for christ sake lol.

I know the bonuses in protector is good BUT since i am farmed out and got the top speed buff, for running, and alot of MP the bonuses arent to importaint to me. I like to stay in a fight basically. But since lvl 25 i have been putting all my points into INT, just need to add more to the gear.

armor is only good if u 1v1 a str char otherwise it sux for pure or hybrid. in jobs and wars u getting hit by str and int and int will kill you fast in armor. in protector no int can kill u except pure int spear but u also kill them very fast even if they are using garm, if they use bloody its not a problem jsut keep kd them til its gone and use ironwall (even vs pure int it helps gsm can do abt 2k crit w/o imbue and 80 spear mastery) and i am able to tank lvl 80 glaives full alchemy and +7 glaive in protector at lvl 80 unless gsm crits but even armor prolly wont save u with that ^^

garm is useless at cap -.- to train in b4 caves its nice but not for pvp and stuff. at 80 any int can't kill you even in protector why will you wear garm lol.. and a glaive will kill you really fast in garm even with 100% str and hp blues. iron wall help but they got bloody as well.

Protector:

Chinese protector has average physical and magical defense thus it can had over all kinds of monsters. It is lighter than armor so faster than it and needs low MP consumption. It can be worn with armor but not garment.
(In the case of protector set, moving speed +10% / MP consumption -10%)

Garment:

Chinese garment has high magical defense but low physical defense. Thus when many monsters attack you, you can be in trouble but it is light so moving speed is fast and is needed low MP consumption. It can not be worn with armor and protector.
(In the case of garment set, moving speed +20% / MP consumption -20%)

it's not that you could tank him....but it's that at lv. 80 cap and using lv. 72 weapon 8th degree....noone can kill each other...I've seen llots of lv. 80 on my server and even I....could tank 3 + lv. 8x Glavier. caz of the High HP and low damage on their weapon. I bet you can't kill anyone too.

Don't forget to add Int as well. It'll raise your magic balance and increase your attack damage.
