I finally hit +11...

So after selling my soul for astral money and spending 3.5 billion gold on elixers... I finally got my level 85 blade and shield to +11. I think the red and blue glow looks rather nice. I WAS going to use a couple of SoSun stones on them too but Gargamel kicked me off at the last minute! :banghead:

yah, its whatever degree he was using, +3 changed the whit glow efefct to the one after +9

but at least we know there -is- another +glow

Deacon is correct, it's edited .pk2 files.

No, there is no glow past +9. It's not resource swapping. Instead, there are three floating point numbers for the initial RGB color and three floating point numbers for the final RGB color.

Hmm, you must be right... You are the one who did the modding, right?

There is a texture for the glow you can change, then three floating points for the first color and three floating points for the second color.

The floating points coorespond to RGB. They can go from 0.000 to 1.000. Lower values don't make the color darker, they make it more transparent.

As for the textures... There are three textures. +3 and +5 use the same texture, +7 uses a more pronounced texture, and +9 uses the most visible texture. I used the +9 texture in this video.

Right, as it should be. At this point, with stock pk2 files ANY + after 9 is green in both iSRO and kSRO. So unless Joymax adds in a value for +11 it's not going to change. Also, I can't add in custom + values for after +9 because it would increase the file size. At this point it is only possible to change existing ones.

Could be a max of +65535 too if they set the plus field to two bytes in the server database. I doubt it though.

I'd really love to change my pk2's to change to 9th too. All tho risking flarking my sro up and a possible ban I'd still do it. It isn't enhancing my game play is it? lol.

Ban is not likely. GameGuard only seems to check file size, not content. So as long as you keep things the same size you can swap them around. Anyone interested in this sort of thing should contact me through IMs or failing that, PMs.

Yeah I supposed it would be. Kind of pointless to use two bytes for a value like that. I do know of a game or two that DOES use two bytes for enchantments though.
