Murderer lvl 2 WTF?!

So im minding my own business farming on some Yetis, and all of sudden, BAM this bot is KSing me and encroaching on my digs. So, what does any self-respecting grinder do, I asked him politely to respect my spot and dee-dee mau out of my area. He doesn't answer and after 10-15 Pms, I murder him. He was weak and went down HARD. I killed his wolf too. My question is, I killed off my murder status, but why is the icon is still on my HUD? I still have murder 2 status, am I now wanted? Can any random Hunter try to kill me? And if so, how long till i'm back to normal? Sorry for the long post, but I NEED to know. thanks in advance.

I think you get a max of 15 murders per day. So you killed him and his wolf (2 kills) so your at 2/15. Even after you work off your points, you have still murdered 2 people that day so the skull is still there.

I believe if you wait till the next day, it will be gone.

Yes. When you're done of the murderer points, the skull will remain there for a couple of days. I don't know sure how much tho.
