it's not about him killing himself over games; it's not about that at all!

it's about the thread-starter LOSING a friend, and if you can't show sympathy for someone else's loss, then it's best not to post and make yourself look like an idiot.

it doesn't matter what his reason for suicide was: try losing a friend yourself and see how it feels.

4. Sane people will not kill themselves over a game so yea his friend was mentally insane.

5. I have had 2 of my friends die in the Iraq war, I attended their funerals saw there mothers weeping for their young sons who lost their lives. Now that deserves sympathy. Not a guy who kills himself over a game.

Suicide is not a temporary solution to a permanent problem. It's the other way around. Suicide is indeed ridiculous in certain circumstances. (Read: OVER SILKROAD) But other times, it's understandable. (Read: Mental problems, physical deformities and illnesses, and emotional problems(MAYBE))

It's still sad because depression can sometimes be hard to overcome. Maybe some people who thought of suicide got help. Someone encouraged them or inspired them to get better. Maybe Silk Road was all this person had left.

When I was a freshman in high school I had no friends because my parents had moved me and my brother to a new town. My parents always worked so I didn't really have any type of relationship with them. I can't say suicide has never crossed my mind. But it's hard to understand unless you've been really depressed yourself.

As jackal said, the actual hacking of the account might not be the sole reason of the suicide, it could have pushed him over the line.

You shouldnt really jump to conclusions if you havent been in such a state of depression before.

But w/e, everyone has their own opinions.

And to lana, he DID reply. He said he was grateful for the support and was still in tears, and he was sad and angry.
