$50 will get you crap in silkroad....trust me, i'm level 80 and been playing it A LONG time...i have multiple SOSUN 8th degree items, the best non sosun spear on any server and i tell you there is absoultely NOTHING TO DO ANYMORE...unless you enjoy killing the same thing over and over...what fun is that?

If you can't afford $50 for a game + $15 / Month and you are happy with SRO then just stick with it...but i assure you it does not get any better...its the same thing over and over and over and over and over........GRINDAGE....you are wasting your time...

Vanguard is quest based, group based, pvp, etc... The graphics blow away any game i have ever played (and i have played pretty much everything there is and ever was). They even have group only quests.

Passion hit it on the head, just look at her list....VG is a REAL GAME and with Sony behind it and Sigil calling the shots on the development i dont see how it can fail.

If it wasnt against the rules Passion and i would sell our SRO chars and we are both uberized level 80's, its that bad...and boring.

Fly and I have discussed this a million times. Those that could back then, did. Those that couldnt, quit. Now those that couldnt bot. And it changed the whole atmosphere to one of shit talking prepubescence. BrowN was always a high level. He never made you feel like he PWN'D JUR AZZ!!11!! tho. Neither did Dark or Fly or most of the other old school high levels.

Totally! And why? Because they earned it. They knew how hard it was for them and everyone else. There was no need to gloat or talk trash. People knew what the lvl meant and respected that.

Now it is like "OMG 8th degree?! You must bot a lot!". Because you have people like kasumii who got that char at high lvl (dunno if it was stolen or legit donation) and botted it to higher lvls but only after he botted his original char. ViolentJ/Nato_Ice/xx_Viper_xx/"next char build he trades for" who did the same thing. One thing I can say for Kasumii though is at least he is open about it. But neither one is above spamming global with pointless shit. PomPom/lillazian is worse though. Even on scripted GM announcements it is nothing but "Fakkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk you GM" for an hour or so. Even if no GM is logged in. Then you have the basically all bot guilds like Duck_Club, Bear_Club, Chinatown, Nike, Sodelicate, HA, etc, etc, etc. They show so little respect for anyone or anything in the game. Even the game itself. That they make being a high lvl a bad thing in many ways. People automatically hate you because of your lvl and accuse you of botting wether or not they have any proof. Because botters have become the rule and us legits the exception.

I am still gonna keep playing though. The good outweighs the bad still. And people who know me respect me because I show respect as well. The day respect means nothing then I will leave. Till then all the botters will eventually fall to my blade, my union, and all my legit friends and their unions. Because botters come and go. Only legits have real staying power.

I know what you mean though, I remember being in Jangan in the very early days and a 57+ ran past in a full 7th garment, jeez it looked so crazy. It was weird to even see anyone 57+, I remember the first time I went to Hotan to look round, there was about 30 people there.

The game and the atmosphere back then was awesome, we'll never have those days again.

Alright, it's about time this was said. No matter what happens here in SRO(bot/scam/would be hackers/ccf) this game is the best mmorpg out to date.

People always say this game isn't free. It is free to play, You COOSE to buy silk. It is very enjoyable without silk items.
If you complain about bots, stop. Bots don't bother you. If it is because they are"KSing" you then you don't know how to grind.
Server space and lag also isnt an issue, so stop complaining about stallers/bots taking up space. If you lag, buy a better comp /upgrade yoursget a better connection, or don't play the game.
And once and for all, stop saying you can get hacked while ingame, don't be paranoid people. There is no trade exchange hack. And as far as scamming goes. If you get scammed it's your own dam fault. Im sick and tired of high lvls saying aww man ..... this I got scammed out of my 64+ whatever sos, som, sosun weapon. You wouldnt get scammed if you didnt try to sell the dam thing for real money, which is illegal in the first place.

The only thing I can agree with you all on is players who babysit their bots to 80. Stop being lazy.

So while I'm trying to fight with my pathetic gear because I cant afford 100mil for a +7 all blue weapon, I'll be getting my a$$ handed to me by some botted gold buying loser who has millions to spend on gear and has the best gear possible. I will how ever continue to play hoping they can straighten this game out. There is one thing that legits often have that botters don't though. Actual good friends and relations. Botters have programs grind AFK for them all day. Their only other friends tend to be other botters. SO when they job etc on those rare occasions. They tend to do it solo. And all a legit has to do is get his friends together and they can easily harrass the botter. Trust me we have done it. We beat PomPom/Lillazian so much he finally quit coming back and turned his bot back on.

Cool, you have an opinion. I've played lots of games too, which enables me to label SRO as a piece of shit.

EDIT: WoW has better graphics than SRO. If you disagree, you don't know WTF you're talking about. Plain and simple. SRO might look more visually appealing to your mindset, but the programming that went into WoW graphics and environments is out of this world when compared to SRO.

Cabal was fun for one day. After that you realize the whole game is about walking. Walk here, talk to that guy, walk there, talk to that other guy. Three towns with 50 NPCs and you talk to them all at least 50 times. In between that, you fight 5 mobs here, 10 mobs there, boring dungeon, talk, walk, blah blah blah. The only fun part is murdering ppl and trying to get out of the prison dungeon. Now THAT was a challenge. The rest? boring.

Can I ask you what level you were until you quitted?
Sure in the beginning it's a lot of questing and walking, but it's something else as grinding all the time.
The talking was fun for those who tried to follow the storyline, it was quite interesting.
3 towns soon became more.At level 50 you get a new map+town. At level 65 another town.
New maps were added as you leveled.

The solodungeon system was fun. You could do partydungeons at higher levels.

Battle modes were great, much more interesting as the zerk you get in SRO.

PvP took some skill to win. I could beat anyone my level who couldn't use the combosystem and thus failed to PvP.

OMG So many hateful posts, I love it. KK Time to answer some questions. Those were my opinions based on what I have played, seen, and heard. This is the only game that has kept me coming back.

Passion- The biggest problem I have with Vanguard, EQ and WoW is the fighting system in general. I dont want to feel like I am stuck in some turn based RPG. If I wanted that, I would stick to playing Dragon Warrior & Final Fantasy series. As far as the graphics go. Well, I won't even go there.
Run SRO on Max High everything. It freakin owns, pure and simple. Like I said thats just my opinion, no need to get your panties all wadded up.

To the Mr I have a dual core blah blah blah. Maybe you have never read some of my previous posts. There is no lag. Other than when I run past the really heavily populated sections like storage. Would you like to know the main reason? Connection. I'll give you a rundown.
Im not ragging on anyones connection, I know some places and locations dont always have the best speeds, just letting this fool Know whats up.
dsl-low end(Under 1mb)Sometimes lags constantly, and hard to logon as well.
dsl-High end(1mb-3mb) Lag occasionally,little harder to connect.
T1-1.5mb not too bad on the lag, but sometimes gets as bad as^^^dsl
My connection.7.5mb roadrunner broadband- longest ever takes now to logon, 2 tries. Do I lag in game? Hardly ever. And Im only running a 512ram Sempron 3400. So ya have fun with your laggy dual core monster.

Anyways, as I mentioned in my first thread. I said its aggravating seeing someone grie about bots/hacks/ccf in every dam thread. Even if its someone saying hello. I mean come on people. I was one of the main 4 people telling morningdew how to fix the dam site, and exactly what the loopholes were, for months. I told them the precautions that needed to be taken. Hell, I even offered my services to revamp their entire site FREE OF CHARGE. That's how much I like this game. And no, it's not because I'm addicted, I grind about 2 to 4 hours a day, that is after work family time, kids in bed and all that good stuff. So Passion, before you fu-cking make assumptions about a persons age, especially in an ugly manner. It might turn out nicer if you simply ask the person how old they were instead of being a di-ck.

From my opinion, I think WoW is a bit better than Sro.


1) WoW has the millions of people that play, and to this day I haven't "Disconnected From Server" in WoW.

But on Sro, it happens too many times.

2) Sro has the whole ninja scene to it. I love it how it's based on The Silk Road, in China. That's just sheer intelligence. Bravo for Joymax. And plus the Armour/Protectors/Garments looks soo much cooler lol.

3) Finally, WoW has the animals. It's so goddamn kewl. But pricey. As you've probably all seen in Ryoko's sig, see how good his "kitty" is? Lol. It looks terrifying.

I play SRO on max settings matter of fact i play it with settings far higher than the game gives you options for i have the whole thing configured thru my 8800gtx and nividea tweaking tools. And SRO isn't even in the same class as VG matter of fact graphicly neither is wow if you want to get technical i can im not you average girl in this aspect. About my panties they are just fine its just obvious to me you didn't play vangaurd if you had you would realise that combat in sro is TURNBASED you have cooldowns just like sro and wow and eve and ....... there all the same and its not true turn based play ,If you dont realise that im sorry, but its a fact.

Do you know what a CCEI is? Lets just say that my and Areis connection to the net makes your roadrunner look like dialup. Areis is a network engineer who also happens to own one of the largest data centers on the west coast as well as his own ISP. This topic makes me not want to start playing SRO again, which is a good thing. But i've got a basic computer, limited games, and don't realy want to start doing P2Ps.

VG looks great though (nice info on it btw) but i'm addicted to sro and havn't played it in months :\. Soon to start again, power level myself for the first few weeks only to end up being called a bot user based of lvl and time spent, out lvled by bots and item mall users (which makes being legit kind of meaningless), and end up making same build as everyone else >.>. Also useing same couple attacks to kill endless amounts of the same mob to hit one measly level. Yet I can't seem to stay away from it
