Where can I learn about item stats?

Where can I learn about item stats?

I've picked up several items that have different stats, for instance, one has a 5.4 physical defense, the other might have a 4.4, but have 4 times luck. Where can I found out what luck, immortal, and other stats really mean and how to discern which to pick?
