I just got back yesterday. The vacation was amazing. It completely changed my view of Vietnam. The one thing I take to my heart is even though Vietnam is poor as hell, there are many areas to improve in the sense of its scrambling society, sucked ass political engine (blah blah blah) the people of Vietnam who are closed to me make me confuse where my home is (let's put it that way). What I mean is if home is where the heart is then I'm blessed with two homes.
Ah a few pictures.
My old home (my cousin's family now lives here)
view from the backyard, where my cousin grows flowers and vegetable
views from the pond next to my old house
This is me.
and some of my nieces and nephews (my uncles has 10 children, most of whom are married and have kids). Think of it this way, I had like 5 bags of candies, the second days, zero. Which explains why some of the little ones are toothless. LOL
My cousin (the 4th son of my uncle) was getting married. This is him and his wife - they decided to travel with us on their honeymoon. Stupid man, that guy. I mean, what the hell can they do when they have to sleep with 3-4 of us in the same room? oh they don't dress like this in Vietnam. they just want to pose in the local tribal cloths in DaLat, one of destinations we visited.
And much more but I have dirty laundry to wash.
