Should I bother with alchemy?

I pick up a lot of alchemy pieces as loot. I'm new to the game and haven't got into alchemy yet. My question is, should I save these pieces, learn to break them down, or just discard them for now. Btw, I'm 12th lvl.

Well, at lvl 12 u shouldnt really bother. Either u just sell them to npc or u make elements and sell those.

Yep, and if you want to make elements of them which will eventually give you more money > Go to the accossoiry shop in one of the towns, and buy Void Rondo's. Press Y and put the Void Rondos in there followed by the items to make elements out of. ( if you hold your mouse over on those items, you see how many elements of what lvl they give you)

At lvl 12 you'll be picking up alot of lvl 2 elements including wind 2, wind 2 is worth ALOT in this game cause it's used for like..every single str tab in every lvl.. -___- you'll get around 2.5k-3k per unit of wind 2 so if you get alchamy items that drop those keep and destroy them for elements. And pimpin up your eq to have str and int would be good to cause the more str and int yo uhave the higher your phy and mag balence is which will help you out, even at your low lvl. Up to you if you wanna save tabs and work on your equip but i would suggest keeping the elements though.
