Nukes

Post by Avalanche »

Which ones should I get? My char is pure int fire build, but I was wondering which nuke would be best? I'm sp farming, so should I get all nukes?

Also, is the ice nuke good?

since your pure fire int, it would be logical to get the fire nuke?

for a secondary many people suggest lightning, but don't use it to often since it has spread damage and you don't want mobs on you

cold is sort of the underdog skill from what I've been seeing, some people dislike or like it because it has low damage but can freeze/frosbite, but those can be pilled

Fire and lightning.

Fire is strongest I hear.

ANd lightning hits 3 people all at once. (Splash damage)

Umm. I suggest you get lightning anyways. Because then you can go ahead and get grasswalk flow, which is really good. I <3. it. And once you get to the third book, you can run as fast as a horse!

Cold nuke is weakest. From what I'm told. And since you're already fire build, go ahead and get the fire. Get the passives for both fire and lightning, and the majority of the buffs are up to you.

Shield series reduces abnormal state. (good if you have a shield. if not, you can equip shield, apply skill, switch back)

Protection series in fire increases magic defense. That should be good.

Get the phys damage buff too. That should help out.

The other buffs for fire are crappy I think. Unless i'm forgetting one.

For lightning, get the passives. I'm not sure if the concentration series are worth it though.

MY friend who is pure int and lv 61 prioritizes his masteries to 3 main elements, Fire=60, Ice=60 and Lightning=60.
He uses lightning nuke as his first strike and then goes with fire nuke. I rarely see him using ice though. But I guess it's still worth to get.
A reason why SRO never improved, it came from our beloved SRO seniors.
Had given my account to my Guildmate, raising a new char.

Get all 3 nukes, fire/lightning/ice, get NO weapon skills untill you have everything you need for the force series'. Get the Physical/Magical defense buffs and the ice/lightning passives, steer clear from physical damage buffs, they are useless for a pure INT. Use spear till you get your nukes, or else levelling will be uber slow, then switch to sword/shield @ lvl 30-32. Use your nukes in conjuncture with eachother, IE - ice to freeze running opponents, lightning if you have multiple opponents on you, and fire to straight out destroy your opponent. You have enough passives to make you very versatile, but you lack weapon skills, so you have to manage your magical skills wisely.

It is a hard build, but the strongest in the game.

I haven't seen much of a difference in damage between fire and lightning nukes at their first level, but the fire nuke cools down faster, has more range, and costs less MP.

Get ICE for the phys defense buffs, and grab the nuke for a cooldown blast and to freeze your enemy. :)

Ice buffs are weak thugh, invest only if you like its prettiness.
Realise that ice adds points rather then percentage, this is one of the main reasons that people deter from ice, the points are weak later on and can be matched by armor

yeah but it's pure int we're talking about... you need all the def you can get. ... and sp isn't as hard to farm because you kill things faster... i say you should max ice fire and lightning if you're sp farming.

if you were a str character, you'd likely be using a weapon mastery and force mastery to spend sp points in... not to mention lots of hp...
int characters are only as good as their skills... so you need all the force skills you can get to be powerful.
